Not all schools put transfer form in their websites. Try calling General Office (64663787 / 64663797). Should be able to provide you with further info or direct you to the right person.

Hi All,

Hope similar plight parent or existing Pei Hwa student parent can share

My eldest will be entering P1 in 2023, we are keen to place the kid (we have 3kids) in PHPPS. We have submitted application for PV.

My wife and I are from neighborhood school, we don’t know what’s it like to study in “brand” school like this. we don’t stay within 1km, we don’t mind moving into 1km to increase our chance though we stay within 1km to South View.

We are both christian, we preferred that the kids to study in a Christian school with Christian values.

Whether you feel the school environment is competitive? The students are self-entitled? How the culture like? Are the homework level high? What’s the parent involvement level? Are there a lot of children coming from rich family?

If all things remain the same, the likelihood of you being accepted as a PV is low. As PHPPS typically ballots in Phase 2B, it’s unlikely that the school will accept you as a PV (SC > 2km), knowing that there’s a possibility that you may not even be eligible (after fulfilling the hours). It’s usually the case that you have to move before the school will consider you and not the school accepts you first before you move.

“Christian” values is also kinda vague. If you are looking for a school with strong Christian values, De La Salle is right around your corner and you don’t even have to PV to bao jiak.

De La Salle is a Catholic mission school same goes with CHIJ, SJI.

Well, u have already submitted your PV application, so u can only wait for news.


What u can do is follow up with a polite email to them, saying u are willing to move <1km of the school if they deem it necessary.

ie. whose children are SC, staying less than 1 km,

did Pei Hwa Presbyterian primary take in, for control purpose ?

less than 5 or
less than 10 parents,
got selected for PV,

since majority entered by church group (also fall under the same Phase 2B), hence cannot take in too many PV ?

I’m an alumni of PHPPS but we missed the alumni membership deadline by a couple of days (sad la, poor oversight on my part) for this year’s registration exercise. We are currently trying to appeal but failing which, we can only go by 2A(2) as ex-student. Noticed that for 2020, even 2A(1) was oversubscribed and there were no slots for 2A(2). Do we have any chances applying for 2C or just give up entirely? We are SC<1km. TIA!!!

Of coz you have chance to apply 2C, just need to ballot only. 2A2 might still have chance to get in, not every year ballot 2A1
