Case 62717, a 89yo woman who was warded at TTSH between 7th April to 21st April.

The TTSH Filipino nurse started showing symptoms and was tested positive on 27th April.

How can the nurse pass the virus to patient (case 62717) who discharged on 21st April, which is like one week before she started having symptoms? Or the index patient was someone else and the spread started way before 21st April !?
Community cases rising very rapidly. Contact tracing shows many shopping Centres & food places were visited, I’m sure public tpt cld be mode hence covid viruses spreading faster.

                Do stay safe.

I dont understand why we are in this mess. We did very well with no or a couple of community cases for months. We follow rules ie using TT token, SafeEntry & Temp Check, we wear a mask, we get vaccinated etc.

Sadly, not everybody is behaving socially responsible.
Agree. I've seen quite a bit of careless behaviour. And although having vaccines means fewer cases and less severe cases, it also means it's harder to tell who may be transmitting the virus (esp. asymptomatic cases).

Hiaz! With the hot weather, ppl tend to crowd into malls with cool shopping atmosphere. At GBB, it was very much less ppl & safer for MIL to visit & get her exercise. Y’day was still so crowded at VivoCity, we shld avoid going there but coz our usual is dinner & grocery at NTUC. But NTUC VivoCity was closed due to covid contact tracing. Ended up going to Bt Merah which is much less crowded.

No point in covid rules -
If visitors in hospital can take off mask for food & drinks.

Why should hospital \"visitors\" be allowed eating / drinking, inside the hospital ward ?

If this report is indeed true, then there is a serious lapse in the hospitals.

Earlier I shared about a friend who works as a nurse (at another hospital) chiding a doctor for chitchatting with other staff w/o mask.

Today’s community cases more than imported ones. Once border close to those coming fr India, it seems to be dropping. So, we shld tighten our alertness & vigilantly practice good social distancing & hygiene shld help slow the spread. I was at Kai Lim hardware & saw 2 ang moh, one with masks below his nose. I became ‘rude’ pointing for his mask to go up. Good thing this burly big man apologetically complied. Me ain’t ambassador but only in heart. I’ve to get ‘outsiders’ to comply to protect my own countrymen & women! Cheez!
