I have an SG50 girl and man I will be so glad when this registration exercise is over! Anyone want to take bets on which popular schools will ballot in 2A1?

- CHIJ St Nicholas Girls’
- Catholic High
- Henry Park

Last year (2020 registration for 2021 intake), the 4 schools that balloted >2km for 2A1 were:
- CHIJ St. Nicholas’ Girls
- Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary
- Nanhua Primary
- Rosyth

SG50 and SG51 batch?

Not to mention, there are a number of schools who have been balloting in 2A2 in recent years. Some of them could end up balloting in 2A1 this year. A lot will depend on Phase 1, whether SG50 babies are siblings of existing pupils or “new blood”.

I feel like we've seen (a) more people sending their kids to their alma mater, and (b) a migration from 2A2 to 2A1 in recent years, which means that the ballot will shift to 2A1 instead. And that's assuming MOE doesn't increase the no. of reserved places in 2B and 2C of course.

Don’t worry, MOE has indicated that it won’t affect 2021 registration. They are planning to increase in future though.

Also, how do you get 20 days before their dateline? It says May, now we are well beyond the middle of May.
