within 1km to BPPS will most likely mean that you are >1km to Beacon (go to OneMap to do a simple/est check). as such, Beacon also need balloting for your case. usually those staying nearby BPPS go for Greenridge as second choice after viewing the no. of applicants on the 3rd day of registration to see which school they have better chance, since likely both school need to ballot.
my distance from BPPS is within 1km, its like 10 mins walk. oh dear, think i am really confuse, stress mummy now.
if you are looking at no balloting, safer bet is go for Zhenghua if you are not prepared to go to WestView in Phase 2C supp in the event you fail in the Phase 2C ballot (this is based on last year's stats that balloting is required for Zhenghua in Phase 2C supp).

Sorry , Joeyz18 ,the Announcement of result is by 13th August, Friday not 15th August.
I am supposed to be in P2C and results of registration release only on 15 Aug, but will it be too late to withdraw and register with 2nd back up school of my choice if my first choice turn out unsucessful [/b]? :?
Sometimes we have to try our luck, as I came to know that one of my neighbour did not apply her first choice of school and apply directly for her 2nd choice and she really regretted.

Hi osakachan,
I went to take a look at the National Immunisation Registry site. Wow, all the records are so updated, including all the doctors who gave the jabs. :!: -
For P2C, understand there are 3 days for registration. Can we register in the 1st day and decide whether to withdraw on the 3rd day?
Of course, this will depend on the outcome of the application vs vacancy ratio. My question is can we check with the school on the 3rd day noon on the outcome and then make the decision? Will the school be able to release such infor to the parent? :?
Would appreciate any parent with such experience to comment. Thanks. -
YES !
do read the threads, tonnes of information & tips here
good luck !

If I'm not wrong, both BPPS and Beacon only ballot those who stay within 1km last year cos at this click itself oredy overwhelmed with intakes, not to mention vacancies left for those within 1-2km. Both are 'hot' schools in BP. :boogie:
hai.. These are the schools nearer to me and in fact beacon is like 2km away. Only bpps nearest to my hse
