See no issue with your quoting.
First question was “can use correction tape?”, which you responded “instructions say cannot (use correction tape)”.
So when another response mentioned “last year we used correction tape”, it is apt to point out that “the instructions have been changed for this year and now this year cannot use correction tape”.

I dont think it was pointed out to discredit anyone’s sharing of their personal experience, but just highlighting some changes that has taken effect for this year, for the benefit of all, esp those taking psle this year.

As it would benefit the poster more and let the poster know of these changes. People share information to their best of their knowledge so you shouldn’t discredit anyone by quoting them by just taking out ONE point in their entire post. Thanks for all the sharing. So it’s a definite no for correction tape so we better wean them off in the next few months. The kids are so used to writing in gel pens so will stick to it since it’s not explicitly stated that it’s not allowed. Think there will be significant difference in writing speed if I get him to change to ballpoint now.

The school will likely assign various pieces of practice/homework for revision during this period. If you want full tests, previous year prelims (i.e. 2019) or some of the EPH mock exam books at Popular are also an option.

To some extent, there is not much of a need to keep doing full exams from a testing stamina/managing time perspective (kids have probably done plenty of them by this stage). If there are any subsections of tests or certain topics in math/science the child struggles with you can find some specific practice to try and boost these areas (assessment book, etc).

At some point the kids are who they are, and there's only so much we (or they) can do to get them ready, boost the odds of hitting whatever their target is, etc. Adequate rest and a positive attitude are also important for the this stretch from prelim to PSLE. Good luck!

We had no time to finish all the papers before prelims, there were a few papers undone even after Psle. Bear in mind that quality is better than quantity.

If your child is a speed doer, perhaps can try the previous years top school papers. Or try to redo the questions he had gotten wrong.
