Well, thanks to people who did not observe proper safety measures in dealing with covid, my teen just got vaccinated today I really wasn’t expecting the vaccination to come so soon. So really, thanks to those who do not believe proper mask wearing is for them, do not bother with proper hand washing/sanitizing to prevent fomite transmission, do not bother to think perhaps, just perhaps, their cold symptoms arose because of covid,

On one hand, we do not know the long term effects of the mRNA vaccinations, but at least the technology has been around for quite a while. On the other hand, we also do not know the long term effects of a Covid infection on a child. Remember polio, anyone?

        (1) I wonder if there will be any change to the school opening dates... (2) it is not getting that much better right?...
        Hi Mks!
        (1) I doubt there are changes - my teens just received their schedules (after school trainings for some school event-stuff, etcetera) for Term 3 first week
        (2) Most schoolmates are already vaccinated (the first Pfizer dose), so less worries bah

 Would be \"interesting\" to know if she did self-isolate as advised. Sigh!
Case 64374 is a 26 year-old female Singapore Permanent Resident who works as an analyst at Deutsche Bank, and is a household contact of Case 64373. She developed a fever and sore throat on 15 June, and subsequently a runny nose and cough on 17 June. She sought medical treatment at a General Practitioner (GP) clinic on 17 June but declined to be tested for COVID-19.She was given 5 days’ medical leave and advised to self-isolate. After Case 64373 tested positive for COVID-19 infection on 21 June, Case 64374 visited a GP clinic on the same day, where she underwent both an antigen rapid test (ART) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. She was immediately isolated when her ART result came back positive for COVID-19. Her PCR test result also came positive for COVID-19 infection on 21 June. Her serology test result is pending.
I think it will proceed. The Term 3 re-opening is already staggered so that not the entire school will go back 1st week.

Ytd I brought DS out for a long-awaited dine-in ramen lunch, saw no less than 10 students in uniform along our drive there (and also in the mall). Got secondary school as well as primary school kids. Was thinking did they go back for projects? CCA? Supp class? Can’t be student care right, hanging out at lunch time.

Graduating students given the extra help/guidance/supplementary/remedial/consultation before school starts?

Possibly. They looked like Sec 4 and P6.

But then my friend told me her P6 from that school did not have any supp classes in June last year, even though parents requested.

Could be remedial for a small group of students, not the whole cohort.

Will schools around the Redhill bukit merah areas be asked to continue HBL until.cluster is controlled? Already i heard a few school pupils were part of this cluster.

That’s my worry…those active clusters, still in ‘catching’ process.

I was feeling should be ok till yesterday…maybe nearer to school reopening probably lol… If still in process of ring fencing, can we do a ‘release’? Wouldn’t it make the spread bigger?

I went out yesterday, so many more people around le.
