Hi...am a parent who has a YR 2015 daughter doing P1 registeration this year. Just curious? any same year parent who was admitted for PV? The acceptance date was around 28 Feb 2020 I believe . Timing around time when Covid just started. Just curious to anticipate the likely 2B this year. Thanks! 😓

          Nowadays,

Since covid-19 started last year 2020,

RGPS never divulged the distance breakdown anymore. On the last day of Phase 2C, you may not even be able to get through the phone line if attempt to dial in, trying to obtain the latest numbers.

          Unlike

in the past good old pre-covid days, where RGPS placed a white board right at the entrance of the school hall on level 2, and the P1 Registration officer very "guai" after 3 pm onwards on the very last day of Phase 2C , every 5 minutes or so, he would dutifully come out of the school hall, updated and refreshed the latest break down figures for SC, by distance category. This way, all parents could see clearly, the breakdown numbers, and they could then decide whether want to ballot or not.

          Every batch differs.
This year, unlikely to have SC balloting beyond 2 km.

          Thus,
the key question need to ask yourself is,

whether this year balloting arise ( inside < 1 km or less than 2 km),
are you mentally ready to ballot ?
You don’t go and worry for yourself : for this year (batch), is it going to ballot less than 1 km or ballot less than 2 km, huh ?

As you know, in any balloting, only 2 possible outcome : either in or out !

If in the unfortunate incident got balloted out, which i hope wont happen,

are you willing to accept Marymount Convent primary, Bukit Timah primary or any other schools that are left inside Phase 2 C Supplementary, still with remaining vacancies ?

          Otherwise,
if cannot accept neither Marymount nor Bukit Timah primary, then u shouldn’t risk the chance of balloting. Simply enrol your daughter into a phase 2C school, where no balloting need involved at all

Could any parents share - how many girls are chosen for the debate / JMUN programs in P5? Is it only from gep or open to MS girls as well? What is the selection criteria? TIA!

97 places available under phase 2C. 20 more places than 2020. Good luck to all applying under P2C.

Really do hope that last year is an outlier and no balloting for <1KM this year.

Calynsea same boat as you. Best of luck. All-any info do post. Thus begins the long wait. Don’t understand all the secrecy in a society that should strive towards transparency…
