Singapore in trouble, if we become the epi-centre for the covid virus, to circulate around.
what is more to tighten?
Reduce the number of fully jabbed to dine out?
Everybody is very concern on the current wave.
Even if you were to cut down the number of diners from 5 to 2 to makan inside restaurant, the virus will still spread.
But on the other hand, we also cannot close our economy because there are many people whose livelihood depend on an open economy to survive, to be able to put food on the table for their children to eat.
Adults go hungry, still can tahan. But not children, toddlers, young kids. When they are hungry, no food, they will cry aloud and as parents, you will be emotionally drained to find food for them.
Also, not everyone can work from Home. Some jobs, just cannot.

As for the P3 to P5,
since P1 and P2 no exam,
right after PSLE is over for P6xers in 2 weeks' time, P3 to P5 can go back to school, take their end-of year exam, within 1 week.
After that, once exam over,
if the infected figures still rise from 1k+ to 2k+ or 3k+, Moe can announce bye bye to end of Term 4, bring forward their year end school holiday.
Only concern is, during school holiday, who will take care of them at home ?
If the P3 to P6s, after all their exam are over, spill out to the streets, road, shopping centre (mall), because they feel bored staying at home, then the number will rise again -

Including the previous measures all the way to circuit-breaker right at the start of this whole mess
- cutting number of visitors to 2 then to 0...
- cutting diners to 2 then to no dine-in and only takeaway
- businesses close except for essential services
- all WFH except for essential workers
- cut CCAs & PE and all team activities, HBL for all levels -

Tighter measures: We could go back to full CB, all offices and restaurants closed, all schools on HBL, cut back on flights, tourists, etc. But what's the point? This rise in cases has to happen - if not now, then later. The rate of increase can be slowed (hence the current measures, and the threat of even more measures), but the increase itself has to happen sooner or later. It's just whether it happens quickly or slowly.

I thought of these mega CRFs and CCFs too. Like we used to have floatels, cruise ships, army camps, etc. But you need to reserve them for potential outbreak in the dorms too, which is already simmering for weeks.

MOH must quickly adjust their protocols so as to avoid adding more stress to the healthcare system. Remember how we deal with the mega clusters in the dormitories last year? A lot of people were roped in to set up temporary care facilities at Tanjong Pagar Terminal and Singapore Expo to cope with rising numbers. Back then, the number of daily figures was very high!
All these measures forgotten already ah? How we treated the foreign workers last year could be applied to Singaporeans too. Simply put it this way, dump all Singaporeans aged 5yo-69yo who can’t do home recovery, to the common care facilities. Keep the numbers at hospitals as low as possible!!!

Second, the reason why we could have those operating was cos Teo Chee Hean personally approached Raffles Medical Group boss to appeal for help. RMG recalled their PRC and Vietnam healthcare workers to come to Singapore to support our healthcare system you know! But now, their overseas clinics are up and running and business-as-usual already. You cannot ask them to sacrifice their overseas pte clinic/hospital foreign nurses for your CCFs right? 人家可是要做生意的呀. Moreover, RMG is manning so many VCs islandwide, as well as RRTs. -

But to answer your question - there are lots more they can do to tighten up, right?

To me it seems like we need to cross a hurdle/go through a phase...
How this phase will be like? More acquire natural immunity? Eliminate the weakest?
After this phase, how is the 'new' situation looks like? Most of us will become 'stronger' because many of us would have make friends with the virus? But will still be people fall seriously ill here and there coz over time our body conditions may change?
Then come another stronger virus...go back to starting point again..

陈先生表示，家里没有垃圾槽，家人也不敢外出，靠外卖解决三餐，堆积了许多垃圾，全部放在厨房，发出恶臭。
I think they’ve forgotten most new HDB flats have no chute inside their flats. So if everyone’s HO’d, they will have to accumulate trash for 10 days. If not, they will have to wear a mask and leave it right outside their doorstep for PPE-clad grassroots volunteers to collect for them (hopefully no cats or pests come infest their main door), or ask good neighbours to help them throw their bio-hazard cutlery and what nots into the communal chute every night.
Those HO’d in landed houses also have to take the daily trash outside their main gate to place in the rubbish bin for Super800 truck to collect. -
How abt instead of head on with virus, we change our way of living, working, ways of doing bz etc. Whole world affected…lesser ppl dying.
