ESIS last year was 261. Under your assumption that AL6 = 258, that will bring a lot more students into play (assuming all AL6 are given ESIS).
Edit: the point is they used to be able to draw a line very precisely at 3% (or whatever it is). Now, they cannot control how many people end up in AL6 or better (or AL5 or AL7 depending on test difficulty and cohort performance).
Under AL6 COP the lowest possible tscore is around 259 to 261 (e,g 90 90 85 85), while the highest possible tscore for AL6 is around 279 to 282. (e.g 100 100 89 89) -

It seems like most Primary 6 kids have finished their not very pleasant experience with PSLE, so they just leave their hyped-up parents to wax lyrical about what COULD have been.
Only 1 day remain for those unfortunate souls who have to take higher mother tongue. For the rest of the cohort, you have more than a month of uninterrupted time for yourself to sit in front of that Xbox. You deserved that. Enjoy! But it does get boring after a while... so maybe do a bit of reading to find out what's in store for you in Secondary school. -

Get 3 or 4 wrong, then out of AL1 already, unless paper B gets full marks, which I believe is highly unlikely, sure to have a few marks here and there deducted one.
