The question mentioned liquid filling and this is P6 level science. So my guess will be liquid filling expanded.

Air expand. Air expand more than liquid plus liquid evaporated when heated.

I think its a MCQ question.[/quote]My girl thinks that it is liquid expanding. The question provided a picture of a bun with the liquid flowing out via a hole near the top of the bun, so she believes that it is the liquid that expanded and flowed out of the bun. Her logic is that if it is the air that expanded, then the air would come out through the hole, rather than the liquid. Although the syllabus does teach that all matter can expand when heated, she is not aware that air expands more than liquid.

Sounds like the MCQ is tricky with a lot of close answers! Probably it is deceptively easy and not really easy.

It seems like most Primary 6 kids have finished their not very pleasant experience with PSLE, so they just leave their hyped-up parents to wax lyrical about what COULD have been.

Only 1 day remain for those unfortunate souls who have to take higher mother tongue. For the rest of the cohort, you have more than a month of uninterrupted time for yourself to sit in front of that Xbox. You deserved that. Enjoy! But it does get boring after a while... so maybe do a bit of reading to find out what's in store for you in Secondary school.
Good luck to those taking higher mother tongue on the last day. :rahrah:

            我的孩子说这题怪怪的。好像后面漏字。感觉如果是警察负责___居民的安全意识。
            这样句子才完整,选\"提高\"就算对。
            My child recalled the following

            警察的工作是来抓坏人,____________ 人民的安全。

            1)注意
            2)——
            3)保护
            4)提高

            What is the correct answer?

Get 3 or 4 wrong, then out of AL1 already, unless paper B gets full marks, which I believe is highly unlikely, sure to have a few marks here and there deducted one.

                  2)事情之前的那一刻
                  3)。。。。
                  4)。。。。

Sorry, I can't answer your question. But you should be very proud of your kid's ability to remember, even though its only half of the question!

Since there was no mention of any air trapped within the bun we should not assume that P6 students are expected to think about the possibility of air molecules released from the liquid. Furthermore, without knowing what liquid, we will not be able to tell what is the boiling point and when evaporation will take place.

Hence the answer should be liquid as the liquid expands faster than the bun.
