Didn't you mention natural immunity some weeks ago? Maybe that's their plan as LW had said we, despite being inoculated, are mostly Covid-naive. OYK even blatantly told us it's a rite of passage we have to undergo.

The more you open up, the more cases you'll see. The more cases means the healthcare system will be overwhelmed and won't have the energy to take care of the vulnerable. When the ratio of HCW:patient becomes strained, more vulnerable will have to die. This is sadly the price we must pay to open up.

For HK, some experts have said it's cos their vaccination rate of the elderly is too low and moreover, a sizeable portion of them took Sinovac 6 mths ago, which has supposedly waned faster than Pfizer. If Pfizer can already wane so much and so fast (faster than AZ and Moderna, according to HC), Sinovac will fare even worse. All these ''I have a duty to protect our people'' reasons by Carrie Lam are just sugar-coating BS.

It's cos their population will see a mega wave and their healthcare system will collapse very fast once they forsake the 21-day quarantine. They are now waiting out for the rest of the region to be vaccinated before deciding the next steps. Opening up to Mainland is more than enough to sustain HK's increasingly inward-looking economy.

All in all, this prohibiting the unvaccinated from malls was a mistake, but they cannot lose face by admitting it. So they make exceptions, and these will grow as people complain, and they will quietly change the policy after a while, and find some reason to say that it is no longer necessary.

This is a policy made by people who drive cars, know how to order online, have the means (and strength) to buy larger quantities at a time, who don't mind paying for deliveries...

Some unvaccinated seniors, even if staying right next to a mall, will now need to take a public transport to the nearest NTUC.

MOH should provide a list of NTUC outlets which are open to the unvaccinated folks and which are the ones not available.

Quite angry with Ong. The CCFs could have been prepared in advance, which was not the case and the hospital system ended up being overwhelmed when we only had 23 cases in the ICU. Not to mention about the outright failures in QO management and contact tracing.

MTF themselves failed to control the situation well, but now turn to punishing the unvax by banning them from entering malls etc. On one hand, they claim cases have already stabilized, yet on the other hand, they further tighten the rules?!?!

The unvaccinated folks cannot dine in and cannot enter malls. Can the unvaccinated folks don’t pay income tax as they don’t enjoy full citizens’ rights?

They should have another OneMap for the unvaccinated to refer to. Who the hell knows which Popular bookstore's GFA is <930 sqm or 10,000 sqft?

Fully vaccinated are also affected (albeit to a lesser extent), cos we must shop in pairs in shopping malls too, lest you be booked by the SDAs. We must arrange via WA to meet up at a certain restaurant and eat in separate tables while shopping separately in a mega mall. \\

Not joking hor! That was what happened to me last Sun (though the rule had not kicked in yet) when I went to the restaurant to join my household members who had reached there first and were already seated in pairs at different tables! Stupid right? 83% still must do this to us... :slapshead:

I know the standalone aircon NLB Main is definitely more than 10,000 sqft but unvaccinated can sit there for hours to read newspapers and books, if they enter within the daily 50% capacity. What an irony.
