I am more interested in the question if I am vaccinated, encountered the virus, but did not get infected even asymptomatically, because my body's immune system squashed the virus before I could get infected, will I develop natural immunity?

Or will everyone who is vaccinated and encounters the virus still get infected, albeit asymptomatically?
My colleagues was a confirmed Covid 19 case even he has taken 2 dorse of Pifzer vaccine. He was informed not to take the booster (03rd dorse) until six (06) month later as the Doctor said he will be immune for 180 days from his past infection.

Hong Kong is part of China and therefore has to follow the \"zero case\" policy from the Central Government of China. But same as China, this \"zero case\" policy will affect the growth of economy.
So let thousands of your friends, associates, fellow Singaporeans die so that you can make more money. The blooxd of thousands of people will be on whose hands?

This whole covid management thing is really making me lose faith in the G. Bad policies, unreasonable measures (ban shopping mall is one), vaccine politics at play…when is the next election? Can’t wait…

If they want people to take reponsibility for themselves, then let the unvaccinated make their own decisions. Advise them, frighten them about the consequences, make it as easy as possible for them to get vaccinated if they can, but let them make their choices. It's like telling the elderly to use pedestrian crossings - if they choose not to, do we man every road to stop them?
Yes.

Funny that they ask pp to take Moderna boosters (6-9 mths interval for those who took 2 M doses) when FDA says it's not necessary.

Didn't you mention natural immunity some weeks ago? Maybe that's their plan as LW had said we, despite being inoculated, are mostly Covid-naive. OYK even blatantly told us it's a rite of passage we have to undergo.

The more you open up, the more cases you'll see. The more cases means the healthcare system will be overwhelmed and won't have the energy to take care of the vulnerable. When the ratio of HCW:patient becomes strained, more vulnerable will have to die. This is sadly the price we must pay to open up.

For HK, some experts have said it's cos their vaccination rate of the elderly is too low and moreover, a sizeable portion of them took Sinovac 6 mths ago, which has supposedly waned faster than Pfizer. If Pfizer can already wane so much and so fast (faster than AZ and Moderna, according to HC), Sinovac will fare even worse. All these ''I have a duty to protect our people'' reasons by Carrie Lam are just sugar-coating BS.

It's cos their population will see a mega wave and their healthcare system will collapse very fast once they forsake the 21-day quarantine. They are now waiting out for the rest of the region to be vaccinated before deciding the next steps. Opening up to Mainland is more than enough to sustain HK's increasingly inward-looking economy.

No lah. It is so that the unvaccinated don't get infected by the vaccinated, and hog up all our limited medical resources.

but they allow the unvax to dine in upon PET
so contradicting
protect the unvax but allow PET.. 😆

All in all, this prohibiting the unvaccinated from malls was a mistake, but they cannot lose face by admitting it. So they make exceptions, and these will grow as people complain, and they will quietly change the policy after a while, and find some reason to say that it is no longer necessary.

This is a policy made by people who drive cars, know how to order online, have the means (and strength) to buy larger quantities at a time, who don't mind paying for deliveries...

Quite true. Those with the means to pay for deliveries and know how to shop online (groceries, clothes etc) are less affected.

Some unvaccinated seniors, even if staying right next to a mall, will now need to take a public transport to the nearest NTUC.

MOH should provide a list of NTUC outlets which are open to the unvaccinated folks and which are the ones not available.
