Is Dr Yuen's death preventable if he completed 2 dorsed of vaccination instead of just 1 dorse only?
Then you should also ask if there is any valid reason why Dr Yuen have only completed one out of two doses. Dr Yuen is definitely not an anti-vaxxer, else why will he have taken a dose. And whether he have completed 2 doses or not, our healthcare system still have a duty of care to ensure a person of a given risk profile is given adequate healthcare support.

          Plus 14 days, very likely.
Doubt so 2nd jab would have make a difference. You can go search how effective those vaccines are (avoid bias nationalistic source, direct or derivatives). Hard evidence on that vaccines aren't as many and authoritative as Pfizer and Moderna. Anecdotal ineffectiveness examples showing quite a few countries decided to stop using it. We will see how well it plays out when China and HK fully open up to embrace the Delta variants next year when abandoning zero covid strategy.

I will not dignify them with an answer anymore.

I now espouse the view, take whatever available vaccine you are comfortable with. Just go get it before it is too late.

You call what we have here in Singapore \"open\" compared to China and HK? :rotflmao:

Some valid questions are: Is Dr Yuen's death preventable if he has been warded for observation upon diagnosis given his risk profile (i.e. partially vaccinated and above 64 years old)? Is enough medical assistance and follow up provided to patients on home recovery scheme, giving them the best shot at survival rather than leaving them to their own fate in order to \"protect the healthcare system\" that is not yet tuned to the \"endemic state\".
Dr Yuen's case seems to show we are entering TRIAGE stage where \"someone\" decides who should live and who should die, when hospital resources are overwhelm.
Dr Yuen is considered high risk but yet was told to recover at home. Who make this recommendation, GP or MOH?

This case shows that there are sporadic incidences when patients are sent home to die, just like what happened in
Europe last year. The deadly home recovery in Italy 2020.

I guess normally we wish not to stay together with family members when get infected but staying alone has its risk too.
