yes yes on cca dismissal time..upper sec usually ends later like 4pm like that ..

4pm is quite early for CCA dismissal I thought... my DC ends CCA around 6pm usually. But I do hear that they're either having eCCA or earlier CCA dismissal for the next few weeks.

I do feel JC side also had lesser CCA activities past few months. Mostly due to Covid and recent incident.

Are the lower secondary doing political cartoons? Russian history?

Kids who cope better, understand the teacher better, are more likely to take history in upper sec. So maybe check with seniors who do history in upper sec. Borrow their answer sheets to see what good looks like.
Yes, very political. First history lesson in year one started with a Russian Revolution political comic plus some hard to grasp kind of questions.

Any parents have experience with a triple humanities combination in upper sec? Is it very challenging?

Hi, I'm just kaypohing, as often... Would your dc be prioritised for special program selections (Hssrp for instance, is she invited to the upcoming month-end symposium? Moot parliament? Literature seminar?), if she takes up triple humans?

Our schools have similar programs, & afaik it is challenging in that the students have to produce numerous papers, of sufficiently high standards, which often require lots of reading up, writing & rewrites. Besides interest, I'd advise my kid to take it up, Only if there is a well-thought out curriculum; an expert mentor (external/ university?) will be guiding; there is accreditation. All the best!!

Hi sky! Interesting... I hadn't thought of whether there'd be priority for special programmes. I'm not very sure actually but will certainly try to find out if I get the chance. Thanks!

Hi!! I'm impressed that RV is, once again (this year too), so well-represented in the symposium 👏

Oh btw, am I right to say that there won't be subjects like FCE, Music, Digital Literacy etc in upper secondary?
