Realise that the talent programmes for each subject start in different years?

Oh btw, am I right to say that there won't be subjects like FCE, Music, Digital Literacy etc in upper secondary?

History, maths and sci r all start in y3. According to my child...geo selection will be in y3 itself
      We chose triple humanities too.....

Oh nice! Our kids may become classmates if both get the combination successfully! :celebrate:[/quote]Curious. Is this like the humanities program? Do you take 9 or 10 subjects including 3 humanities? What’s the likely career path of such combination? Thanks!

In upper sec, students are required to take \"Singapore Studies\" as a compulsory Humanities subject. They can choose to take only \"Singapore Studies\" or take up to 2 other Humanities subjects, depending on the rest of their subject combination. A triple Humanities / triple Science combi would be 9 subjects.

For ours, LA, HMT/ MT, 2 MAs, Chemistry, (some form of) SS are compulsory in upper secondary. For one (of my kids'), (what I'd refer to as) 'triple humanities' means the class gets to choose a 2nd humanities (HI), & they study humanities more in depth/ enriched (I'm guessing, cos they don't have literally 3 humanities subjects but are active in external programs). For the other, 'triple humanities' means the class gets to pick a 2nd humanities (HI/ GE) and a 3rd (Advanced Humanities). Triple humanities is challenging

Ic ic... 🙂 Is it a Humanities Programme that you're referring to then for the class that does external programmes?

Oh, in RV, they cover the content of E. Math and A. Math as one subject.

              Ah I see. Interesting.

In other words, you can do Singapore studies with both history and literature. Total 3 humanities. And if you include the 2 languages, 1 math, CID and 2 science then it’s a total of 9 subjects. Correct?

My DS just got accepted into RV. May I find out more about what kind of learning device they use, school hours and culture?
