Typo - i mean my son - DS.
Hi Everyone,
Have been really stressed up, need some advice please. My DD achieved AL11P. We are looking at the following options:
1. Chung Cheng Main | 6M - 11M
2. Maris Stella High School | 7M - 12
3. Nan Chiau | 6M - 11M
4. Anglican High | 5D - 12P
5. Zhong Hua | 9-13
6. Tanjong Katong Secondary | 9-14
But the thing is, my DD is only interested in the first 2 choices. If he doesnt get in his first choice - Chung Cheng, what are his chances of getting in Maris Stella?
The reason why not putting Maris Stella as first choice is because Chung Cheng Main is his dream choice.

My goodness. Anyway, you have got nearly 2000 responses, and that's way more than enough. Awaiting your summary eagerly
Managed to clean up the data. There are not one but three people doing this childish act.

I’m not sure why there should be a confusion over the choice merit / score thing. MOE has made it as clear as they can, and in the simplest term as they can.

hi guys, thanks for the thoughtful discussions? i wonder what are the chances of NJC for 8M? Also is it true that you have to stay at CHS IP for the whole 6 years or can you apply to other IP schools after 4 years? Thanks!

For example, here are all 4 pointers. If A’s 1st is HCI, B’s 1st is RI, C’s 1st is NJC, D’s 1st is RVHS so they all get their 1st choice school in this system.Am I right? Really confused. Any explanation pleaseeeeeee…

Else, it is PSLE score first. -

Cld it because they are doing it on behalf of other parents or they are parents of multiple kids?

I advised not to place this way, choice matters this year. Popular schools will be filled up at most by 2nd choice. Even your mark is above cop. If u cannot make RI, HCI, Rv and njc may most probably be filled up and you cannot enter even score is above COP. 1st choice is most important as schools are empty. Use your choice carefully. I suggested HCI as first choice. RV or NJ can be 2nd choice.
S1 posting doesn't operate this way.
RI and NJC will not have the chance to consider your application because you have indicated RVHS AL9 (D) as second choice. AL6(M) getting into RVHS is a certainty.Veyron\" post_id=\"2049180\" time=\"1638062064\" user_id=\"30663:
Stay in west and kid got a AL6(M). Original plan for RVHS (nearset SAP IP) but would like to try out HCI (but kind of far).
Came out with below list and wonder if RVHS (as 2nd choice) is a sure safe catch if did not get HCI?
1) HCI
2) RVHS
3) RI
4) NJC
5) Nanhua
6) Swiss Cottage
If I am in your position, I would place 1) RI. 2) HCI 3) NJC, 4) RVHS
If you are living in the west why not also consider ACS(I) IB program as well?
AL6 students will get posted before AL7 and AL8 students even if RV is placed last choice.
posting sequence starts will AL4 AL5 AL6 and so on..its not first come first serve basis -

I am also shocked to see some parents choosing in the following sequence if their kid scores AL10 (just an example),
I’m not sure why there should be a confusion over the choice merit / score thing. MOE has made it as clear as they can, and in the simplest term as they can.
1) COP AL10
2) COP AL 11
3) COP AL 12
4) COP AL 13
5) COP AL 14
6) COP AL 15
It not just one parent, quite a handful did that and many thought choice would come ahead of academic merit. MOE didn’t really communicate properly, they could have shown more concrete examples.
