Hi fellow parents, can I check if we are supposed to receive any email notification after submitting the SI posting form online?
I did not get any email notification after the submission.
      Thank you!

I can't recall if the form asked about email address.. It asked for phone number only.

Thank you! So there is no notification sent to the phone too right?

Is it possible to add Gender ratio at this chart? As this is quite important factor for COP for those boys or girls IP schools. This is the first year for AL system. As presumption, normally girls did better in language course as English and MTL while boys can catch up with high score with Math and Science. But for this year, 90 and 99 is no difference. There will be high chance COP of girls school lower than previous year. If the chart can provide more info for the gender ratio , it will be helpful
Uhh... It's a bit late now, as the poll is going to be shut down within a couple of hours. There has already been some hacking of this simple poll by some very free people :siao: So your request will have to wait another year. Sorry.

IMO your selection can be very risky.

If choice 1 dream school COP got bumped up to AL9 and choice 2 and 3 conduct balloting for AL10, those place the school as 1st choice will get through first. So the student may now end up at choice 4 or 5.

Furthermore not every parent or student chooses school solely on COP as well. And when it comes to S1 posting, its important to be realistic about dream school.

If your grade doesn't meet the COP, there is really no point dreaming about it.

Don’t you find yourself contradicting? You asked what if your first choice school got bumped up to AL9. Then why can’t COP AL9 school drop one point to AL10? The COP is not cast in stone, it will fluctuate as a function of supply and demand. If your dream school is a few points away then it is not very realistic but if it’s just one point away?

If a student ends up with his 4th choice, it is still within his 6 choices, so still ok. If 1st to 3rd choice COP all AL10, and if student has to go for balloting so be it, nobody knows which school will conduct balloting at what COP, right?

Not every parent/student chooses school solely on COP? No need see COP, if I like RI culture / CCA then I choose RI ah?

The reason why COP is unlikely to move down is simply because

          a) 90 is the new 100
          b) 45 is the new 64
          c) Lowest possible t-score for every AL COP band is lower than the actual t-score COP for 2020

Dont need to see COP in S1 posting? HAHAHA.

For sure, I will bet you my last dollar that AL10, AL9, AL8 will not stand a chance in RI regardless how much you like RI culture[/quote]Are you laughing at yourself?

Please put on your reading glasses and read carefully. Who is the one who claimed that not every parent/student choose school based solely on COP. By that I take it that someone thinks that the COP could be ignored.

yup. It seems to add some restrictions for the same IP to vote multiplies next year also.

Re: a) and b), isn't last year's indicative AL COP converted from last year's raw score? Can you explain the link between widening of AL band and the movement of COP which is a function of demand and supply

Re c) How about \"highest possible t-score\" for every AL COP band? Isn't it MOE's intention to widen the band around the current t-scores.

RI and RGS both have approx 400 Y1 students. I believe it’s a similar number for H/N as well.
Saw on HCI website that cohort size is based on MOE allocation but believe they won't adjust it to 390 this year? 2022 and 2023 PSLE cohort size will drop to 37,000++ so perhaps MOE will make adjustments.

                      Dear all parents,

My DS scored AL7. we couldn’t decide if IB or A level is a better choice for him.

                      Here is our choice order
                      1)ACSI IP (COP 7) - IB
                      2) NJC (COP 7)
                      3)HCI (COP 7M)
                      4) SJI IP (COP 😎 -IB
                      5) DHS (COP 8D)
                      6) CHS (COP8M)

otherwise 1st choice NJC. then 2nd HCI, 3rd…

the reason we didn’t choose HCI as 1st ,bcs we’re worried we wasted the 1st choice order since my kid has no HCL. and ASCI & NJC as second/ third option is even riskier, there is high chance ASCI and NJC tie break at AL7.

the reason why we still include it is because , we are "hoping" IF HCI 2021 COP happened to be AL8M, then we might be able to appeal?

I assumed the safety net is choice 4-6? or is it risky?

May I ask if our choices are logical? if we exclude IB, there’s not much IP school left and DS still prefers IP .
been so stress with the choice orders…

Many thanks in advance and all the best to everyone!

                        interesting analysis.

Does anyone know what is the cohort size of

                        RGS
                        RI
                        HCI
                        NYGH
It should be around 400 for each school if I am not wrong.
