      Dear parents

Wondering if anyone knows about NSG participation in sport not offered as CCA? I wrote to NSG-MOE before and was replied that a student can enter NSG representing own school under School Adult Representative scheme (adult be parent or coach) if the school does not have the CcA nor enough teacher resources. But of course with the school approval and submission

I have asked my daughter (yr1 next year) to draft an email to the HOD of CCA/PE to enquire. Anyone aware whether RgS is open to such things? My daughter is serious with her judo. Thanks

(Of course, all under assumption NSG to resume ya) 😊

Anyway I believe there will be another group of parents will question - why must use iPad? Can my kid use windows laptop šŸ˜‚

This was one of the question raised by some parents during last year orientation.
For almost the same price, a window-based laptop specifications would have been superior to even a Macbook Pro. Just wondering how inconvenient it is to be switching usage between a window-based laptop and iPad Pro? Appreciate any sharing about this usage...TIA!

I still plan to support her with a school approved iPad Pro (hopefully a good price from the school) and using a window-based laptop at home...hm...

          @channy,

I think your kid is allowed to choose between Mac/window laptop.

You might want to check with the school on the reporting day.

          Hope this helps.

Hi RGS does allow NSG participation even if the sport is not offered as a CCA, just need to write in to Ms Chrislin Lee (Ast HOD CCA) to request for her assistance to sign up.
It's an online registration with NSG and she has the sch account to register once the registration opens up.
You will prob have to be the Sch Adult Rep for that event

              Hope that helps

Thank you very much. It helps a lot. Email sent. Rep surely will be myself, cos her Judo coach probably cornering an opponent team (NYGH) šŸ˜… it is just unfortunate Judo was removed from RGS. Hopefully NSG can safely resume next year

                  Hi,

May I know if the girls will need to bring their iPad/laptop to and fro Sch every day? Or they can leave it in the locker in school if they have lockerr to themselves? Is their school bag heavy on a daily basis? Thanks!

                    Hi Reenie,

My girl bring her laptop to and fro sch everyday. They still need to use it at home from time to time.

However, they do have personal locker in sch. Doubt anyone will leave it in school.
