Can I check the school environment in NHPS, CCA fall on which days and the morning traffic condition? Is the school very academic focused?
CCAs will be on Mon or Tue afternoons next year for the P3s at least. Prob the same for other levels though I'm not sure if school team members will have trainings on other days.

Morning traffic can be congested with cars driving into school. Best to go earlier if driving.

Depends on what you mean by academic focused? There is emphasis of values and encouragement of skills beyond studies.

Hello! (1) Streamlined across all levels; Thu/Fri - extra training. The P3 CCA revamp is so similar to the https://nationaljc.moe.edu.sg/co-curricular-activities/ isn't it

I'm exhilarated to see the active promotion of a more vibrant CCA life in primary school. In fact, my kid's ug collaborated with the secondary school ug seniors during hols - the session was brilliantly executed, & the experience fulfilling. Thank you teachers & seniors!!

        (2) If it's about homework, then very minimal, even in P4

          Hi sky!

Oh yes! The new CCA revamp definitely reminded me of NJC's CAFE programme! Think it's a good move to expose the kids to a wider range of activities.

I heard the Brownies collaborated with RV's Girl Guides recently. Wonder if there are any other inter-school collaborations.

Hmmm, we don't recall any gigantic field at the Jalan Lempeng site (& I don't find such a description on the school map too). There are the Indoor Sports Hall, the parade square, the mini playground near gates A&B[/quote]
And there's the relatively new street soccer court.

How about remedial/supplementary lessons after school for P4? Beside CCA days, roughly how many days a week do P4 need to stay back?

Good afternoon fuyutsuki, there is no supplementary lesson (P4); depending on teachers & their timetables, there May be remedial lessons (very rare). May cos the children are banded & would be progressing at their own pace, but I did notice that along the way teacher could decide that some still required extra attention, that's why remedial was offered (the sessions do not seem long - about an hour after school)

Another stay-back day could be for maths olympiad or stem trainings, optional & mutually exclusive, which were held on thursdays this year

Anyone heard from NHPS yet on parent volunteers for children born in 2017?

To parents who registered under phase 2A this year, did the school contact you to submit documents?
