Wow, I guess your son was balloted out 2 times at HCI and ACSI. Think many AL7 out there.
Think only once.. I suspect ACSI cut off is also AL7. Those put ACSI as 1st choice may have gotten into the bowl, while the 2nd, 3rd are all out.

But we never know.. Guts tell me that there is higher chance for AL6 to ballot into RI than AL7M to ballot into HCI.

Guess choice is also important. But if my DS is also AL7M, I will also put HCI as 1st choice.

Says balloting was around 1 in 10 (similar to ballot % in the simulation). IP range is AL6 - AL9(M). Presumably the AL9(M) is RVHS (did not move to AL8(X) like TJC). Anyone know if MGS IP(IB) tied RGS/RI at AL6?

              As reported on CNA

\"However, if two or more students have the same PSLE Score and same citizenship status, the student who ranked the school higher will be considered first, said MOE\"

ACSI is the top IB boy school in Singapore. So certainly you will need to put it as 1st choice to stand a chance with AL7.

ASCI is a very popular boy school and I am sure it will be the 2nd choice of many AL6 students who have put RI as their first choice. So it's expected that with AL7 balloting is a certainty.

Doubt al 7 second choice even gets a balloting chance at acs?

                        AL 8M

                        1st choice - SCGS IP
2nd choice - Cedar Girls IP
                        3rd choice - St Nicholas O level

Results - St Nicholas O level
Question to MOE - How can you determine whether a student qualifies for O level or IP track based on balloting? Does it make sense to the student?
