Tips for improving in PSLE
-
MOE Hater:
Dear MOE Hater
Thanks. I am awaiting for the great ruyu to unravel his dazzling secrets on how to excel in MCQ for Science. Meanwhile, all the best to you too. I gather from your previous post you are sitting for PSLE this year too. I got a B for Science and am using the June holidays to buck up. Don't woorry, I am sure you can pull up your overall marks out of 300 by up to 20 or 30 points by just revising during the holidays. If it is math's you are weak in, do try the book ruyu reccommended. If you are good in Math, the afore mentioned book will also help you stop relying less on algebra, if that is what you are doing now. You can also try doing Math Olympiad books as maybe some techniques you learn can be use in PSLE. Once again, all the best
I'm not P6 student. However my dd will be taking PSLE next year therefore I'm also quite interested to learn more from your on the important tips and strategies. Since someone told me \"ratio/fraction\" is not so simple therefore she is practicing more on questions related to ratio/fraction/percentage during the school holiday. Hopefully she will be well preparing when the time arrives.
I am sure you would buck up the Science's grade since you are putting some much effort during the school holiday.
All the best to you.

over wat, ruyu?

By the way ruyu, you said your gradparents live in India, does that mean your Indian? If you are, I do not mean to be racist, for one thing I am Indian, itβs just that ruyu seems such a Chinese name.

Hi! I am taking the PSLE this year too. would like 2 share wat i'm doing 4 my revision 4 MT(chinese). wat i usually do is tat i read the shou ce (bought it from popular) which cover all the words tat we are supposed to know how to read and how to write. they also provide meaning 4 all the words.
it's ok if u don't buy it. the chinese textbook also cover wat words we should know how to read and write, at the back, but it will not have the meanings. By doing this, i have already finish revising 1 component of the whole paper.
4 the rest of the components, i buy component practises to do. or, every chinese practice paper the school give, u can try the questions again.
i tried this method (which i found out myself) last year, and it worked!
In P4 i was very depressed with my marks, got below 50/100.
So i decided 2 work harder. and the marks i got 4 SA1 this year was 84.5/100! even my teacher was impressed.
hope this tip helps. good luck in your PSLE! -
