Yes we are aware. She loves music. Her piano teacher did MEP and explained it to her. Even though she trains 10+hrs a week on ballet, compared to 1.5hrs on piano. It's only because piano is much easier for her. Either way is fine tbh.

Her third choice is a tough one. We wanna go with Dance DSA. But not sure which school to go for. Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

If you are referring to modern dance, it is I think the 4th most popular DSA domain, based on the number of schools offering it, so no shortage of choices but whether they fit your bill.

SCGS dance dsa is more competitive than NJC. A lot of girls who dance competitively will try dsa SOTA MGS SCGS PLMGS

Thanks for the list. I went for \"IP, no SAP\" in my search. 😅 My DD is usually around AL5. But not too keen on higher Chinese. So SAP is not an option for us.

Hi , if a candidate apply for two academic domains in the same school, like dsa math and dsa science ,or dsa math and dsa bilingualism, will the candidate be called for both interviews if qualified or the school will only call for one interview? Thanks in advance for answering !

Even if you were to apply for Total 3 different DSA domain within the SAME DSA Secondary school,
Eg.

say, you apply to ( RI or RGS ), for 3 different domain :-

end up
only one single interview to attend, assuming that your kid is short-listed.

And

If the school were to offer your kid a CO or a Wait-list, again, the same thing happen :-

it will only be for ONE single domain. Not more than one domain. They will never offer you
( two COs )

Or

offer u (one CO + another WL) and then ask you to choose, so which one u want ?

Interview wise, Yes, only one interview to attend. But if there are proficiency academic tests, may need to attend more than one, provided you get short-listed.

Example

say, u applied for RGS /RI Total 3 different domain, because let's say u only interested in one school (RGS / RI). No other Secondary school in Singapore interests you, apart from RGS / RI. At the same time, you are also confident that even without DSA, your kid is confident enough to attain AL (4 to 6), by the PSLE route, because they are All-rounder, strong in all their 4 subjects. Yes, there are some P6 students that are like that.

Lets say, these are the 3 domain, you applied for RGS / RI.

1. Science domain - academic

2. Maths domain - academic

3. Leadership


For cases like above, if after portal submission, RI / RGS feel that you

- only strong in Science but not so in Maths

Or

- only strong in Maths but not so in Science, then you will be short-listed for one proficiency academic test.

But after portal submission, if RI / RGS feel that your kid is very strong in both subjects, then will request kid to take two proficiency academic tests.

Of course the third scenario can also happen. If RI / RGS don't think your kid is good in either subject, then not short-listed for neither Maths nor Science.


They will offer your kid the best fit what their school is in need of and factored in what they think your son / daughter can contribute to.

Of course during the interview, prepare your kid in advance this question, bec they will ask :-

Flip through your own Report card content. What u see inside your Report card, will be exactly that's going to be uploaded into your primary school's DSA server.

If is not mentioned inside your Report card, then highlight it during portal submission. Otherwise, no need to, since Report card already have it.

However, you can
give a call to your General office, ask Admin whether they going to upload

- all Report card content from (P1 to P6),

Or

- all Report card content, from (P4 to P6).


Example

For my kid's 2019 DSA time, her primary school uploaded all her (P1 to P6) Report card content, into the school's DSA server. But my friend son's primary school, from another school, uploaded only his (P3 to P6) content.
