      https://www.moe.gov.sg/news/press-releases/20210926-arrangements-for-national-examination-candidates-affected-by-covid-19

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask the question. Did MOE issue out any latest advisory on Covid-19 protocol for pupils who have Covid and taking oral exam this week or next week? As there is no more HRW or HRN, if a pupil tested positive, the pupil may go to school to take exam as it is no longer compulsory to see a doctor to get mc if the pupil has Covid and no subsidies given in SASH clinics.

Reminds me of one of last year's HCL theme on modernization vs. tradition, regarding super market vs. wet market. as well as one as the issues from Channel 8 News featuring 3rd gen hawkers.

The above was disseminated to candidates for 2022. Wonder what are the chances of \"漏网之鱼\" though

If because of the covid wave where 9000+ people got hit,

            1)
if a (Sec 4 or Sec 5) pupil missed attending O-level pu-hua Oral,
            eg.

say, have fever at 38 degree celsius and keep coughing badly with a sore throat and a coarse voice, can't even talk properly (clearly) at Oral time,

            then

            how is SEAB
going to compute Oral marks component, for this candidate ? Can't be using this Sec 4 candidate school's Prelim Oral marks, right ?
But, this Oral component, does form a high percentage, out of the entire overall pu-hua subject.

            2)

How about if Sec 3 HCL student, got hit by covid ?

There is no Prelim for Sec 3 students yet, because Prelim only occurred in Sec 4, not Sec 3.

So, is SEAB going to take our Sec 3 mid-year (May month) Chinese Oral results as a reference point, to substitute for the missing O-level pu-hua Oral component?

              Extracted from Reddit

1.\twhich store will you go to ( traditional coffee shop or modern cafe) ?

2.\thow do you attract more people to traditional stores like the one in the video ? ( because more ppl will go to modern stores and they will lose business)

3.\tnew items and things are better than old things. what is your view on this statement?

The above topic is challenging too.
              I find 2022 Day 3
(traditional coffee shop vs. Modern coffee shop) Oral interesting. Drinking coffee, is part & parcel of everyone's life, unless u don't drink coffee at all.

                Thank you for sharing chenlaoshi.

I was wondering if secondary school did a mass dissemination about the oral rules and examination to students and parents. If info was disseminated, why pupils do not know the procedures of what is expected. Eg: there was a case of one who almost sanitise the paper on table and another who give entry proof when told to show NRIC. Isn’t student ez-link card allowed to be brought in ?

I really hope the Sec school teachers really did a proper update and those Sec pupils who were absent on day of update were updated on another day or via email or a letter through PG - Parent Gateway. Can other parents share if other school teachers update you ?

Otherwise, why would pupils post their real experience in Reddit like no one told them what procedure to expect.

I am keeping an eye on MOH website updates at 12pm today about the number of cases reported yesterday. It should peak as the clinic was so crowded yesterday with patients tested positive for C+.

Yes, this is a big concern because now, the covid recovery has become laxed
                  in that
once a person is tested negative, can come out to roam around the streets. But, let us not forget that this is also the period of time, where the person can still be contagious.

                    sembgal,

My kid just sat for Oral on day #2, last Friday (8 July).

So far, I never received anything from \"Parents Gateway\" before hand concerning taking covid precaution, while kid sitting for Oral exam.

                    =========================
those students whose sirname start with \"Y\" or \"Z\" waited a long time last Friday, for their turn (Oral).
