NUSH results are due 13 August or by August (different sections of website). HCI results are due 26 August. Guess is that most will come in early-September, while a few may hold out until/closer to the deadline.

I think more results were out earlier last year (2021) vs. the year before that (2020). Perhaps the second time through the online interviews/selection tests helped move things along. Not sure if the trend will hold this year, as schools may hold multiple rounds.
Got it. Thanks for the heads-up. This is very helpful and much appreciated 🙂

So, to be clear, the results will either be:

      1. CO (Confirmed Offer), which means that the school will accept the pupil if he/she scores within the set DSA threshold, e.g. 15 points (as opposed to 10 for normal entry).

      2. WL (Wait List), which means that the pupil can still be accepted if others who received a CO do not take up the offer.

      3. Rejected, which means that the pupil will now have to rely solely on the PSLE score.

Did I get this right? Sorry, first time with the DSA so I'm a bit lost.

Hi, point 2 and 3 are correct I believe. But for point 1, the CO holder only needs to score AL22 for both IP and O level streams (I believe this is set by MOE on their website).

Went to Fairfield for audition. So parents can wait at conference rooms. The teacher mentioned as long as u pass your psle, you can go into the school with your CO. Cos they are using to banding system to put u in the classes accordingly.

May not apply to all schools i guess.

Oh! I didn't know that the DSA entry score was predetermined by MOE. I thought it was set by the school.

Fairfield would be Example 2. Wishing u all the best for the audition!

How the schools do it is: if they think child’s results will not be “good enough” to survive in their school, then they simply won’t offer anything. Once they offer, it is out of their control since MOE permits till AL22.

RI FAQ also says CO for \"Express stream\" needs AL22 or better. Previously, I thought this was AL20 for IP schools (i.e. straight Express and not Express/NA Option) but I could be wrong (one of my prior replies may be incorrect). Regardless, it looks like AL22 is the current threshold.

Ah, got it. Thank you. That's interesting. I would have thought that some schools tend to be strict(er) with admission notwithstanding that the student has a talent which they are after. After all, the school expects that student to do well both in that talent and academically (although the focus will be on the former, for sure). But they don't want to punish the student unnecessarily so I thought they'd like a lower cut-off so if the student is really weak academically, he or she will not suffer in Secondary School having to juggle both the talent and school work.

FWIW, SJI has their “DSA Care” scheme, which is extra academic support (eg remedial, consultations) for the kids who came in via DSA and quite far below the school’s PSLE COP. So if you’re worrying, don’t.

Despite this, I personally dont think they will actually make an offer to a student who has consistently scored close to AL22.

If they do offer, rest assured they will do what they can to support your child. That’s what I heard about SJI.

Thanks, all. I thought they'd accept more shortlisted applicants but let's see how it goes tomorrow for my kid.

On that note, anyone heard back from VS for the VA domain yet?
we also applied for Victoria Visual art, but no news until now. Does it mean not shortlisted?
