Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Primary

Yes, sweet deal indeed !
because
this primary school is affliated to her Secondary school and
Kuo Chuan Presbyterian High Secondary, is in turn affliated to St Andrew Junior College (SAJC).
And
what was L1R5 admission Cut off point for those who sat for last year (2021) GCE "O" level, born in year 2005 cohort ?
9 for COP (Science stream, JC1), right ?
Nett 9,
means that
Secondary school students studying inside KCP, their L1R5 Raw score can be …
13 (ie. 9 + 4) ?
Why +4, back ?
because
(2 discounted points for clearing Cca at Sec 4),
plus
(another 2 more, further discounted points, for being an affliated KCP Secondary school student)
Yes, sweet deal indeed,
for affliated students.
So, the child of carecorner has a smooth, straight path awaiting, from primary school right up all the way to (O-level and A-level), under "Affliation " status.
Who will reject sweet deal ?
============================
Question is,
How to get Raw score,
L1R5 13 points ?
Take your best 6 subjects, into consideration.
Assuming (for example)
========
For each of your best 5 O-level subjects, you have scored an A2.
So, A2 x 5 subjects, equal 10 points.
Then, for your #6 subject,
just need to score a B3, will do.
So, Total up, is (10 + 3), equal 13.
There you are, achieved Raw score, 13 points !
Discount backwards 4 points, from Raw (13) to achieve Nett (9), still can go back to your affliated SAJC ( A-level ). -

After reading the above comments, I feel I should really consider to send my son to KCPP ( 2 years later). My dh was a former-KCPP . We are staying in Serangoon north and initially we would like to apply for PV and GRL for Rosyth . We know how oversubscribe in this school this year ( and actually every year) .
However, recently I have also heard that the recent new PSLE system had affected my friend's daughter and luckily she had a affiliated primary school as a backup. Thus, recently we have a second thought of getting a affiliated school. Affiliated school that is within my 1-2km - only holy innocent .Then we went to check that actually KCPP is even better than Holy innocents. !
After seeing all the sweet deals mentioned, i am really aiming to send my son to KCPP..He has another 2 more siblings and my fil is staying in Bishan too.
I am also looking forward to more recent review on this school too. Please pm me if you prefer to pm .
Thank you in advance!!

Story time - Parents of students in Rosyth without any affiliation to any Sec school regretted not registering their children in KCPP. Students entered Rosyth through alumni Phase 2A. Too late for parents to regret the decision made 6 years ago.

If you are choosing a primary school, please choose one with secondary affiliation which lead to JC affiliation.
Affiliated Express: 12 - 20
Non-affiliated Express: 10 - 12
Affiliated Normal Academic: 21 - 25
Non-affiliated Normal Academic: 21 - 24
The school brand is good but you cannot do anything if the child’s AL score does not meet the cutoff point to enter.
Second story - Parents live near Ai Tong School. They decided to register their children in KCPP as there was affiliation and parents knew their children were not very academically-inclined and felt KCPP suited their children more many years ago. Children grew up. Now, the grandchild is enrolled into KCPP under Phase 2A alumni. -

So, have you or have you not applied for PV and GRL?

For GRL I don’t think you will meet the cut off for 2 years later. I think PV applicant is starting next year.
Regardless, there is no reason why you can’t keep both Phase 2B and Phase 2A options open. PV application is by no means guarantee and the school could very well not select you as well.
KCP Secondary is not bad school but if I’m scoring between AL13-20, ie the points outside the COP of non-affiliated student, I probably won’t lose sleep not being able to get into the school. There are many viable and similar schools between that range. -

If you have decided on Phase 2A, no need to worry about Phase 2B.

KCPPS has never ran into a situation where applicants more than places in Phase 2A. -
Hello! Would anyone knows:
Wondering if there would be physical open house in 2023? And roughly around which month would the open house usually be held? Also, where can I get updates on this event?
TIA! -

Yes, Kuo Chuan Presbyterian primary school located in Bishan,
Impressive that COP is now 10 for Express for 2022. Looks like the primary school will get more popular now.
is getting more popular.
Those staying more than 1 km away, who failed to ballot into Catholic High primary at Phase (2A or 2B), can consider this missionary school, under Phase 2C.
Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary school has affliation to St Andrew Junior College (SAJC). For Bishan residents, this primary school is very conveniently located.
