      tree nymph:

they are but just a small insect. just roll up some newspaper, aim and hit. as simple as that. if i see it crawling on the floor, and i don't wanna dirty my hand, i will use some toilet paper and crush it, then using the same toilet paper, pick it up and throw inside the toilet bowl.

      not scared not scared hor...
Hey twin! I do exactly the same except I don't throw into toilet bowl in case cannot flush off and keeps floating inside, will throw straight down the rubbish chute........hahaha :hi5:

watmekiasu, use morten....else one of those pellets thing do help...that is if you are NOT afraid of the dead or dying ones πŸ™‚ πŸ™
Dead, unconscious or alive - they scare me to death. There was once I sprayed nearly half a can of Shelltox on one cockroach and left it to die properly overnight. The following afternoon, after gathering all my courage and a few drinks later, as I approached it slowly with outstreched disposable chopsticks and gloved hands, l saw one leg twitch. :!: Those things are indestructable ! I swear they are as old as dinosaurs. 😒

I haven't used my rubbish chute for a long, long time - not since a cockroach dropped out after I'd opened the flap. All my rubbish is taken downstairs to be thrown away in a civilized manner (that is me not acting civilized after an encounter).

to me, lizards are scarier than cockroaches.

i treat cockroaches as beetles to bring down the fear factor.
i don’t like lizards cos they have eyeballs and can stare at me! :!:

I super scare of those cockroaches which can fly.... 😞 :slapshead:

                  They fly.. I jump...

                  😒
I didn't realize how fast my sister can move until an encounter with a flying cockroach. There was just a most deafening shriek and then - a vacuum - in the chair just next to me which was occupied by my sister less than 0.0s ago. Yes... reaching escape velocity with zero acceleration is possible... just power the rocket with flying cockroaches.

Some 20 years ago, I had to take the bus back to my girlfriend's home right after I just left it because a lizard fell into her sink and couldn't get out. The things you girls make us do... haiz.

                      What a hero!!!! :udaman:

Honestly speaking, you modern guys should be grateful to us girls for letting you act heroic over simple deeds like getting rid of cockroaches, lizards, moths, beetles etc. If not, when would you get a chance to act heroic and safe your poor, helpless girl - it's not often (if at all) that we fall off cliffs, get nearly run down by vehicles, get robbed etc. πŸ˜‰

Haha..agree with you. I really can't stand cockroaches and lizards. However, lizards give me the creeps because they are cold and soft. Eww! And they are nasty too cos lizards like to deliberately jump on you from the wall or ceiling if you try to kill them.

When we were young, my parents used to tell us to to beware of lizards' tails that fall off cos it can jump into our ear. :!:

                        I think I :offtopic: liao.
