In (P3 or P4 or P5) ?
Thanks, for clarification. -

Even in the past when P1 girls used Higher Chinese textbook, that was only for the teaching. The assessments were always using Standard Chinese format. You can see from past year exam papers. Only in P5 then the higher chinese classes would take HMT exam.
Now some P3 are selected and placed into Higher Chinese classes. But how many I don't know. Their exam is still standard chinese format. -

The no. of <1km applicants is indeed higher and this could be due to many factor
New residential development could be one, but we also need to factor in the enbloc of Watten Estate reducing the number of <1km residential units in the area. I believe this is the 2nd time in 3 years that there is balloting for <1km. But the big question is, how many <1km applicants are there balloting?
Going forward, the strategy of relying on <1km for P2C as a backup plan, especially for those trying to NYPS P2B may become risky and this may drive more parents to try to P2B at RGPS. This means we could possibly see balloting for P2B in the coming years.
I think one major factor could be due to more affluent Singaporeans who are able to afford to rent or buy property around the area.
Seems like this rly might be the case going forward, esp once the new condo (to replaced the current old watten estate condo) is eligible to be use for registattion. That’s gonna put up 200 more potential balloting chances in the radius -
Hi, is there any further info on how many SC kids within 1km balloted for the 90 seats this year?

Unfortunately, MOE or RGPS will no longer publish such information.

Based on historical trends, we should expect to see many 1-2km SC within the mix.
So my guess is the number of <1km balloting will be around 91-95 out of the 125 students.
15 to 20 will be 1-2km, and the remaining >2km.
So for <1km SC applicants, the chance is still high, and those unsuccessful will also be placed on the priority waitlist. -

If u were to call up Rgps,
Hi,
is there any further info on how many SC kids within 1km balloted for the 90 seats this year?
there is their Admin reply :-
\"We DON'T have the details.\"
=============================
Come to think of it,
1) for those SCs who are taking part in balloting less than 1 km, this year (2022) -
did Admin (Rgps) inform anyone of u :
Total,
how many participants are taking part in balloting together with u, inside this \"less than 1 km\" radius ?
2) for those SCs who stay MORE than 1 km away, no chance to even ballot,
on the very LAST day of Phase 2C -
did Rgps (Admin) inform any one of u, by telephone or by other means -
to quickly withdraw and try some other primary school instead, so that you DONT waste away this precious 2C chance
Or
Admin (Rgps) just keep quiet, \"diam diam\", never bother to call u to withdraw, nor update you any info at all ? -
To the school, such information may be pointless because enrollment and balloting are managed by MOE and the school cannot influence enrollment patterns or balloting results. The only thing that the school has to pay attention to is perhaps the balloting risk for P2B as this will determine if the school can still accept PV from outside 2km.

hi Parents, does anyone know how many students can sign up RGPS SCC for P1 (after school care)? if oversubscribe, then how ah? thank you!

Hi fellow parents, not sure if anyone has any insights on this - my daughter has been offered HCL for Primary 3. May I know what are the pros and cons if we do opt in for HCL? Especially in terms of PSLE grading, are there any benefits to do HCL? Appreciate if you can share your experience especially fellow parents who have had kids who did HCL at RGPS. Thank you!!!
