If children who didn’t get into round 2, will parents get notified?
After attended Round 1 test -

If your P3 kid don't receive any notification for Round 2, means not notified. Only those successful for Round 2 test, will be informed (notified)

Isn't round 1 held at school level for everyone?
A few weeks before round 1, the school informed parents and parents who didn't want their kids to participate would choose to opt out. Those whose parents didn't opt out would then take the Round 1 tests during school time.

for GEP, did any you try to get your child to read these types of books [https://carousell.app.link/IOHoDDXsBtb] to enrich his mental capacity? n when did you introduce to your child.... K2, P1, P2 ? and how... read to them or have them read? how about if they are not interested in these types of books?

It’s always good to read more and read widely.

The books that you have quoted above should help in the GA portion of the tests in round 2.

One thing I have noticed about geppers - they read a lot ( inherent ability)

I would have died just by looking at their suggested reading list while they seemed to waltz through the books, one after another - happily.

However at Round 2, even if the child doesn’t qualify, they will given a letter to inform you that they dont have a seat for you…

                      Usually just before Children’s Day.

I can't comment on what type of books to read as my child is only in P3, he reads all things with Periodic table, Young Scientists, Fighter jets, WW1 and 2 but I'm replying as I had some of these books shown in the link! But none of my siblings or myself got into the GEP. Haha!

I bring my child to the library every few weeks and he gets to choose books he likes. So we would spend a few hours there. I feel the best is when parents set the example. My husband and I try to read often so my child naturally caught on too.
