More and more pple are re-infected. Anybody here were re-infected? Were the symptoms even milder than the 1st infection?
-
I heard over the radio 2 weeks ago that 15% are re-infected and that is a fairly high percentage.
Here is an interesting article to read about people who caught Covid-19, twice and thrice and even during a pregnancy.

Although I hear about the rate of reinfections, I think I've only know (as opposed to \"know of\") 1 person who got reinfected. So the reinfection rate doesn't seem that high to me - I surely know more than 10 people.

Perhaps the statistics of numbers of reinfection is not as crucial as compared to who has reinfection. It is those who have suffered Long Covid who should be more wary of another infection.
What did they find?
The results were similar across adults and young people. As many as 89% of respondents first got Long COVID after their first infection, compared with 10% after the second infection, and just 1% after the third infection. Overwhelmingly, reinfection worsened the symptoms of Long COVID in most people who were still symptomatic.
In those who still had Long COVID at the time of reinfection, 80% saw their symptoms worsen vs. 10% who saw their Long COVID symptoms improve. Around 85% saw old symptoms return or new additional symptoms vs. 10% who had a resolution or improvement of symptoms.
In 60% of people who were in recovery or remission with Long COVID, reinfection caused a recurrence of Long COVID.

Anybody visited Japan post Oct 11? Are the covid regulations still strict? My girls are going for Jpop concerts and I wonder how strict they are about concert goers.

I dont think Japan uses any contact tracing apps. And social etiquette would be to wear masks, whether or not the law requires. What other stuff are u worried about? Quarantine or self-isolation rules? -

What are the precautions,
And action taken by Hwa Chong Junior College,
in the event should any Hwa Chong JC student unfortunately contacted covid, while visiting Japan, over there on exchange program ? Your daughter will be travelling in a group overseas with other students to Japan, right ?
can watch a video,
how a group of Ngee Ann Secondary school students went on an exchange program to Japan, in 2019 (pre-covid time)
