we share a similar medical benefit scheme.
Yes, it is most likely the same for statutory boards.

Having parallel importers is all the better for us consumers.

I know friends who shop at Ang Mo for the best prices. Ourselves we buy our toiletries from Venus or similar heartland shops. Much cheaper than FP or Watsons.[/quote]
I realise some of the toiletries sold cheaper at these stores are not the same as those at Watsons.. eg toothpaste, shower ge etc..

Sometimes you can see thai words on the product, which quite obviously was meant for Thai domestic market and not us.

Only for selected outpatient treatment, such as the management of chronic diseases, vaccinations, health screenings, or CT/MRI scans.

                Info here:
                https://www.cpf.gov.sg/member/healthcare-financing/using-your-medisave-savings/using-medisave-for-outpatient-treatments

Medisave use for outpatient treatments is limited to what is described there. For common ailments, we have to pay for ourselves unless over 60 (up to a limit per year). If eligible, you could apply for a CHAS card - the blue and orange ones give subsidies for common ailments.
Thank you for the recommendation of CHAS card.

We have a Ang mo supermarket just downstairs if our block so really quite convenient for us.. I notice for snacks and stuff they don’t always stock the same stuff.. maybe depends on which kinds are cheaper from the distributor during a particular period of time.

Yes, looks like the parallel importer re-directed some of those goods to SG. But I assume anything coming into SG via legal channels has already been vetted by HSA or whichever safety agency.

When you order vegetables in a restaurant, do verify the costs first, before placed an order :-
