      An alert message !

All 2022 end of Sec 2 students going for or those who are targeting for \"Double Science\"
Sec 3 subject combination, be careful !

You have already submitted your few choices of Sec 3 subject combination you desire to pursue, and school will process your requests submitted, in due course.

      Make sure
that you choose your two Science subjects correctly (wisely),

regardless of whether u are from the (IP or O level track),
if you have decided to stick to your Upper Sec \"Double Science\" combination.
      Why ?

      Because

      1) time & tide, wait for no man.

When u go up to Junior College level in Year 5, there is NO \"Bridging\" Science program, whatsoever.

      Take note.
All JCs in Singapore, do NOT offer any \"Bridging\" Science program, including Eunoia Junior College.

      Painful Reality bites (example)
      =========================

Learn a lesson, from these impacted students.

      In the past years' batch(es),
      from the IP track,

      there have been some students,
by the time they reached the end of their Year 4 (IP), they regretted having chosen Physics.
They did work hard in Physics.
Is not that they never studied Physics at all. They did. But, somehow they din do well, inspite of their effort put in. These affected students wished that if only they could turn the clock backwards, they would have opted for Biology, instead of Physics.
So you are suggesting for IP students, they should take triple science?

        FYI

The IP students know themselves best ! They are their own best judge.
By the time they reach end of their IP (Year 2), at age 14, they have a mind of their own. They are no longer P6 kiddos. Yes, no doubt parents can talk to them. But, they themselves also know
        whether
        they can
        or they cannot
cope with the demand(s) of \"Triple\" Science.

        Amongst the IP classes -
some end of IP (Year 2) students still prefered to choose \"Double\" Science,
        instead of
        choosing \"Triple\" Science,
even though their end of IP Year 2 results, did qualify for \"Triple\" Science. They prefered \"Double\" Science selection

        because
        of better time management.
More time available on hand, to focus (concentrate) studying just two Pure Science subjects, instead of three so many.

In any case, they also understand that when they move onto Year 5 ( in Eunoia JC ), maximum allowed is only two A-level H2 Pure Science subjects, due to the \"contrasting\" subject requirement, imposed upon Junior College students by MOE.
It is their own, eventual self-made decision preferance choice.

I assume there are more students choosing double science. St Nick has 5 IP classes right? 2 are triple science classes?

Observation noted, sentiment felt, status update, for the O-level track

              =============================

Over here inside St Nick, our school is super on !

The Upper Secondary (3 and 4) school Teachers are all very motivated, self-driven, hardworking !

This entire whole week, called the "Extended Curriculum Teaching lessons" week, all Sec 3 subject OP class Teachers have started teaching our girls new topics in advance, to prepare for next year (2023) coming GCE " O " level National exam.

It is best to start Sec 4 lessons now, as not enough time, next year (2023). And this is exactly what OP (St Nick) Teachers are doing right now, starting this week. Time is going to be extremely tight, next year ! We intend to complete teaching the entire MOE O level syllabus, by May 2023 (month). After that, is all intensive revision.

This is in sharp contrast, to some other neighbourhood Secondary schools existing around in Singapore,
whereby their (school Principal & VPs) are very "relaxed" type, not doing anything to motivate their Upper Secondary (3 and 4) students at all, inside their own schools.

Next Tuesday (8 Nov ), exactly one week from today (1 Nov),
is our 2022 Sec 3 HCL (Higher Chinese, gao hua) girls, taking the November O-level (pu-hua) National exam.

Jia you (x3), persevere on, everyone !

All the very best, to everybody taking pu-hua (O level), next Tuesday ! We are very close, to the finishing line for pu-hua. Jia you (x3) !

              OP : O-level track, program

                      For pu-hua (O-level) question #4,
if u seldom or hardly watch our \" local movies production \",
                      the theme on Arts scene,
then is hard to write on content.
You can choose to write other topic, instead.

In a recent joint effort production between Singapore & Korea, Hong Huifang won a golden horse award, in this movie :-

I would think not many of our students here will choose qn #4, because

St Nick students are so busy everyday with school homework, no time to watch TV.

                      =============================

                      Note

For 2022 Sec 3 HCL students (born 2007), our
pu-hua (O level) results will be released next year, around 2nd week in January 2023.

                      2)

For gao hua (O-level) question #4, that is a very interesting question for our Youth, today.

                        Anyone know,

                        what are the
2022 GCE "O" level English Paper 1 composition (essay) Continuous writing topics, that came out ?

                        Thank you.

( not asking for those email questions type, in Paper 1)

                        =============================

                        Under L1R5 (O level) computation,
                        "L1" is
                        either

                        English language,
                        or
                        Higher Chinese.

Choose the better one, between these two subjects.
