      bbpinksg,

You may also want to check the school fees for students foreigner (status), between
SCGS (Independent school) and Cedar Girls (government school).
Can go to these 2 Secondary schools' website, check their school fees and compare their difference ($).
Generally speaking, most Independent school fees is $330-350.

Hihi, may I check is it a wise move to list RI as first choice and HCI as second choice ?

Kid’s result is 6(M). Or should just forget RI and put HCI as first choice as I believe there will be balloting for 6 at RI and will “waste” my first choice? Kid is undecided between the 2. Thanks

RI may or may not get cos balloting.

6M will cfm get at HCI based on Last year’s COP. I agree with RI and HCI . Other factors not considered…. Simply based on Merits of Scoreline

          Hi all

My son (Spore Citizen) gol AL8. We are living in the east. If he puts the following as his choices, will it be ‘safe’?

          1. VS IP (8)
          2. SJI IB (8)
          3. TJC IP (8)
          4. VS O Level (9)
          5. St Pat’s (13)
          6. TKSS (14)

Hi and congrats! Choices are safe; #5 and #6 will definitely catch him.

I believe last year SJI IB balloted at first choice. Up to you whether to leave it in the #2 spot or remove and move everything else up a spot. I am not sure whether TJC ballot at first choice or something later. Also should have a decent shot at VS IP, in which case nothing else will matter. Good luck!

              Hi all,

My DD got AL8(M). We stay in the CCK/BP area. Below are her choices.
              1) SCGS (IP)
              2) River Valley (IP)
              3) CHIJ St Nicholas (O level)
              4) SCGS (O level)
              5) River Valley (O level)
              6) Nan Hua

I will like to seek advice from gurus here.
1)What are her chances of getting into the first 2 choices?
2)Or any better suggestion/strategy on other schools that we can choose?
              3) Shall we put SCGS (O level) as 2nd choice?

Re: Malay Special Program…is it correct that it is a special case can bring the total bonus points up to 6?

So, affiliation -2, CCA LEAPS -2, MSP -2, total -6?

I’m trying to strategize for O levels. Worth the time and brain cells for an average student to get these extra 2 points? Or just spend the time concentrating on the L1R5 subjects?

I believe max bonus points is 4 regardless whichever options you can take.

MSP is not the special case. The 6 points special case is CLEP (and I think MLEP and TLEP).

Hence, prob not worth the extra effort, esp if the MSP is not conducted in school.

River Valley High only has IP.
