I am letting go of RI year 1 & 2 textbooks in case anyone is looking to buy them. Still in very good condition as it’s hardly used.

Can I ask some questions please -

1) if a child has been awarded an ESIS scholarship - I understand that there is a minimum grade requirement to continue to receive the same. For RI, what is this grade cut - off.
2) if we can understand for local unis - School of medicine, do they favour RI students? Or if anyone can share where I can find the stats on the % of intakes from Raffles for NUS/NTU.

Q1. I assume it should be the same as RGS.

For RGS - as long the girl gets a GPA 2.0. They will continue with ESIS.

Q2. Personally I don’t think NUS or any U will have any favouritism towards RI. The selection should be by academics merits.

RI has been producing many perfect UAS students for A-level. Naturally these students will have a better chance to be selected for school of medicine.

In RI, the syllabus is based on RI programme. So, they will cover more in-depth topics as opposed to normal Sec1 science. But don't worry, it will be fun for your kid! Year 1 will be honeymoon period. Just ride along and enjoy the express train!..
