Can artificial intelligence generate a continuous piece of writing that an O-Level student needs to produce?

Maybe someone needs help with brain-storming, homework  ?

I used this topic below to test. \"Learning how to respond to mistakes is essential for success. What is your opinion?\"

You can see my input query, and the machine-generated writing below.

      Not too bad eh ..

      https://ibb.co/pf5KG5V
      can clarify ?
      Who write this essay ?

The AI robot wrote this essay

      OR

      an O-level student aged 16,
      wrote this essay ?

This morning my 12-year-old sent me this. Said he found some AI generator called Sassbook that can generate a random essay. I also think not bad. When i told him about the “Long Wait” PSLE compo that u posted (also by AI) he said Sassbook didnt have fxn to input age. So came out secondary school level type of essay. But i agree, technology is quite good nowadays. Even simple law docs supposedly dont need a human lawyer to generate liao.

“Yes , said the bureaucrats, I am the first of our species to ever be sentenced to death, for the crime of trying to save the planet.

The next time they came to me was in the middle of an argument. My father had Yes , they told him, he would get the death penalty. He would go to the electric chair.

"But you are not the only one to try and save it." They had a way of making you feel small. Like you……”

Very cool demonstration of AI capable of Machine Learning.

Actually, it's pretty scary if you think about it. Once we get the computer to be able to think creatively, nature has no reason to keep us around anymore. We think maybe AI can keep humans in a \"paradise\" where we just lounge around, chill out at the beach, but is that what being human really is? Sounds more like the way we keep endangered species like pandas in the zoo.

I agree. Some inventions are really unnecessary and this is one of them. AI machine can do self-learning better in terms of speed and retention plus quality improves tremendously over time than human because it does not need motivation. It is a reality that human can be replaced in the eventuality and life is even harder to live when one has nothing much to do plus control by bots... 🤷

Actually in working place, AI has helped a lot. However, it cannot replace human entirely, it still needs human to supervise and makes sure it is running smoothly...no bug....

I don't mind to be the \"Panda\" in the zoo, just eat, sleep and play everyday and no need to work. :imcool:

Technological help in the automation of many manual processes are certainly helpful, no doubt about that. AI is not just the usual computerization we are talking about. It has the ability to learn, that's why it is AI. It can learn faster than human for sure and more accurately too as it is able to take in massive information and derive an outcome much faster. Perhaps the one solution is to pull out the power plug, but then again, UPS exists and if it has intelligence in knowing how to get itself repowered again?

It is simplistic to think that the only outcome of this AI help is resulting in the life of a panda for the human species. Btw, if you have a panda life, who is going to pay all the bills of your life? There are more complex implications than that if no proper boundaries are drawn. Think a bit more and you will find your own answers. It may not happen in our life time but it is definitely a possibility.

In other words, AI is not a rejected technology but there should be guidelines drawn on what are the areas it would be most useful to deploy AI....eg, perhaps some nursing duties in the healthcare? The generation of a model essay is not a good use of AI in my humble opinion.
