Technological help in the automation of many manual processes are certainly helpful, no doubt about that. AI is not just the usual computerization we are talking about. It has the ability to learn, that's why it is AI. It can learn faster than human for sure and more accurately too as it is able to take in massive information and derive an outcome much faster. Perhaps the one solution is to pull out the power plug, but then again, UPS exists and if it has intelligence in knowing how to get itself repowered again?

It is simplistic to think that the only outcome of this AI help is resulting in the life of a panda for the human species. Btw, if you have a panda life, who is going to pay all the bills of your life? There are more complex implications than that if no proper boundaries are drawn. Think a bit more and you will find your own answers. It may not happen in our life time but it is definitely a possibility.

In other words, AI is not a rejected technology but there should be guidelines drawn on what are the areas it would be most useful to deploy AI....eg, perhaps some nursing duties in the healthcare? The generation of a model essay is not a good use of AI in my humble opinion.
To me whose English level is terrible - the generation of an essay by AI may save me from the drudgery of write composition.

And how does that help you if it is not an original essay written by you, assuming you are a student? :? You can get through homework assignment but would still hit an issue during the exam. Also, for those exams that are submitted as an assignment and not required to write under an exam condition, cheating can occur with such AI help available. Of course cheating can occur even now but it's a bit harder, so there is at least some impedance. Just my 2 cents worth on \"not exactly useful\" inventions from a wider perspective.

Didnt read all… if my understanding is correct, AI is about churning out good pieces of writing… but for what reason? Maybe more on revision? This I agree… but it should not take over the job of a writer who wish to convey their experiences/write something they passionate about, I feel…

For lazy students like me and my brother who are already \"thick-skinned\", exam? not an issue...just fail it....so what?. 😆

At least it should be useful to me when my boss ask me to prepare and submit a report on some work related issues now.

That shows our job can be easily taken over by AI…

How do you prevent that? 🤷

You have to own the rights to the AI software. Maybe there will be AI to manage AI, and humans will become redundant.

Since many years back we been reading/hearing some of our jobs may be taken over by AI. Some will make our lives more convenient no doubt … just hope we human always more advanced/useful so that we can still hv a job to pay for our bills.
