Asking for a friend. I said I think once S1 posting results are out, and if you didn’t get your first choice, you have to call the school in question to ask what was the COP, and then see if you qualify to appeal. Am I right? Or will MOE publish some sort of list of cut off points?

It gives a proper closure for everyone. Move on to Secondary school…. Remember Meritrocracy Country, Do well for Sec ½ , still can apply for transfer.

              Good Luck!

Curious, are you one of the NH parents?

At least, you tried. Close this chapter in your child’s life. PSLE doesnt define the kids.

You have already done your part to appeal. So, going forward, u won't regret that u did not choose to appeal.
Close this chapter in your life, & move forward. No more looking back, anymore.

                      Hope is still there.
Do well in your Lower Secondary (1 and 2), and seek Transfer later.

If u are still keen in IP at end of Sec 2, take your desired IP school's entrance subject tests, you can still start IP, in Sec 3 January 2025.
IP schools do accept students at end of Sec 2, to start IP in Sec 3. Not to worry. By then, u are more mature two years later, to assess for yourself, what exactly u prefer to pursue.

                      Remember,
most important of all is -
your PSLE grades do NOT define you. Academic grades, are just a Temporal passage through time, that's all. When u look back one day next time, all these PSLE academic : don't count anymore.

No worries. A lot of times, exams are pure luck. Sometimes you get it, sometimes you don't. It is unfortunate that there are major exams along the way where how well you do in it means something but don't let it define you/your child. Always believe/know that you/your child will do better in the next exam. Try to make your child know that his destiny is defined by him, and not some artificial exam.
