I noticed zaobao made a mistake for cedar girls O level COP. It was on the affiliated column than non affiliated column.

      Edited.

          Are u staying in Bidadari,
where Cedar Girls Secondary school is just downstairs right beneath your block,
hence your 1st choice school ?
Haha nope. Cedar is the closest IP girls school to our home. DD strongly prefers girls school while for us parents it doesnt really matter whether itโ€™s coed or not.
          I guess itโ€™s just them being tweens/teens.

As long as you meet the COP of the school, you can appeal to as many schools as you like, including those that you did not apply for.

I hear of many cases of students being balloted out at AL8 for IP schools with that COP. The balloting odds must be heavily stacked against them. The COP for these schools is effectively AL7 if not many get in with a score of 8. Any comments?

When they say COP is AL 8,
                    it can mean that
                    not many vacancies are left,
                    yet
there is a large pool of AL 8 candidates, eagerly awaiting to enter. Demand far exceeded vacancies, available.
Not just SCs armed with AL.8,
but also PR and foreigners, too.

                    Example

                    In SCGS,
since both COP (IP and O-level) are identical at 8, many students will still prefer to choose IP first, over O-level.

This scenario happened in SCGS before, last time. There were past years whereby her COP was 252, the same, for both (IP and O-level), under Tscore old era.

Maybe can you tell us where did those balloted out AL 8 students eventually go to? Coz later a well groomed mum might come in and said why short change themselves go school with cop more than 8. Wasted.... Cxxxx SXXX groom their girls differently(For boys Vxxxxxxx, Cxxxxxxx, Sxx etc) ....cannot compare other non IP schools imo.
