… I learned that my priority had to be my child's overall well-being, not her achievement. Parents have much more impact on kids than any school- it's a terrible, yet wonderful, responsibility.
Totally agree! Let’s try to prioritize our children’s well-being. Starting today.

I would say that our kids going through school in Singapore, regardless top school or not, will personally know of many friends and schoolmates who are receiving help for mental health struggles - it is not uncommon to hear of self harm. There will be kids who thrive, and those that do not, in every school.
Agree with this too. There are such incidences in other countries, cities and foreign schools too. Let’s prioritize our own sanity and our children’s well-being. Have a good support network with family & friends and seek each other out often.

That’s so sad. We must triy our best to constantly remind ourselves what’s more important to us.

            Yes, agreed.
Do tell some KSP parents/individuals not to be too obsessed with Scholarships award.

No Choice, because we are having \"a competitive education system\" in Singapore and students \"have to compare themselves against others to better oneself\". 🤷

Another choice is to compare with yourself and not others. If you score 70 during last exam, aim to score 75 in next exam, regardless whether other score 90 or not. And, if you score 90 last exam, try scoring 92 in next exam, regardless other can only score 80. This way , 智强不息, no matter what goes on around you.
