Just to ensure I understand, so means if student takes RA Bio in Y5 and continues to Y6 and also take H3 in Bio in Y6. So in this scenario, it will means that student will need take 2 exams during A levels > 1 for RA Bio and 1 for H3 Bio?

A level cert will show the below?
RA Bio will be given ABCD grades and contribute to rank points
H3 Bio will only be given distinction/credit/pass etc..

I always think that RA is unique to RI so it is internal and not tested in A levels.

My child is taking both Chem and Bio Ra .There is no extra RA paper taken during the exams.

I can't recall the eligibility criteria, but I don't think it's automatic that RA students take H3. Not all students want to take H3. And not all want to take H3 in the same subject as their RA subject. And there are non-RA students who take H3.

Most RA students will be able to do h3 subjects in general.

They may not choose the same RA subject for h3.

If am not wrong, the criteria to do h3 is min B for that subject.

I know a few kids took two h3, but that is upon MOE approval.

Would like to ask if anyone knows about RI’s placement test for the Singapore Biology Olympiad i.e. format of test, standard of questions (pegged at Sec 4 level or A level), what type of questions etc.
