How could we jump to this conclusion when the new campus of school is not even groundbreaking?[/quote]
      Aiyoh
Where got ground breaking jump to conclusion ?

Tengah (ACS) primary is NOT a brand new school.

      LNW,
Didn't u hear Floppy keep reminding all of us here that Tengah (ACSP) is an old school, hence NO need to create another new thread primary school inside KSP ?

      Actually,
What is Tengah (ACS) primary ?

      Is the same OLD ACSP,
      from the city area,
      POP over

      To
      Tengah !

      Physical structure,
      HARDWISE wise -
Yes, brand new building, because location is in Tengah. Classroom, tables, chairs, ceiling fan, Yes, all brand new !

      But SOFTWARE wise -

Principal, VPs, HODs, Subject School Teachers Academic staff, Admin staff, Canteen food stall operators, boys from current ACSP are all existing students

      POP OVER to Tengah.

Who then, are the new students ?
Only the MINORITY girls, born in 2023

      So, LNW, tell me,
today, ACSP inside City area -
      Example

Last year, 2022 P6 boys, born in year 2010,

They have PSLE results, or not ?
      Of course, got lah !

            Phase 2A

            For a child:
            - Whose parent or sibling is a former student of the primary school, including those who have joined the alumni association of the primary school as a member.
            - Whose parent is a member of the School Advisory or Management Committee.
            - Whose parent is a staff member of the primary school.
            - From the MOE Kindergarten under the purview of and located within the primary school.

For self entertainment, any conclusion (logical or otherwise) is acceptable.

2030 P1 boys and girls would enter a new campus removed from the legacy of barker road. Only P1 teachers will follow while the rest remain at Barker to handle the rest of the older cohorts. Without the usual osmosis that occurs between the older ones and the newbies, it remains to be seen how much of the culture will follow to Tengah. In 2030, would ACSP and its older boys at Barker automatically be scheduled against the schools in the West zone for NSG?

However, need to consider that 330 would have to be spilt between boys / girls.

                    Assuming a 50% spilt, that's a net lost of 75 places for boys (330/2 - 240 = -75) compared to the current situation.

Not just ACS is shifting, another school in Bukit Batok east shifting to Bukit Batok west, which is nearer to Tengah. ๐Ÿค”

Report mentioned intake increment (for every level) from 240 to 330.
P1 intake will increase from 240 to 330, so that will be an additional 90 vacancies.

Phase 1 - It was mentioned that by 2030 siblings of students studying at ACS Barker in 2029 will continue at ACS Barker till they finish P6, so we can assume that there will not be any Phase 1 applicants for ACS(T) 2030 intake.

                        320-0 = 320

Phase 2A - Since ACST is an old school in a new location, the number of eligible applicants will not change. However considering the location of Tengah which may be far from the place of residence for alumni and teaching staffs, we can expect that this number of applicants will be lower even if we include girls in the application.

Historically, the applicant number at P2A for ACS(B) is around 100, so lets keep this unchanged

                        320-100 = 220

                        Phase 2B -
                        * Whose parent has joined the primary school as a parent volunteer not later than 1 July of the year before P1 registration and has given at least 40 hours of voluntary service to the school by 30 June of the year of P1 registration.
                        * Whose parent is a member endorsed by the church or clan directly connected with the primary school.
                        * Whose parent is endorsed as an active community leader.

Children who gain priority admission into a school under the \"Parent is endorsed as an active community leader\" eligibility and the school is within 2km of their address used for registration is required to reside at that address for at least 30 months from the start of the P1 Registration Exercise, which is 29 June 2022 for the 2022 exercise.

The takeup rate for P2B under community leader may be higher due to larger pool of young parents in Tengah. For those applying under this phase, they will need to relocate to within 2km of ACS (T) 30 months before 2030. So properties within 2km radius of ACST will also be in high demand.

However, we can also expect that some parents attending Barker Road church may not choose Tengah due to distance.

In 2022 the number of applicants under P2B is around 55. Assuming we maintain the same.

                        220 - 55 = 165

With potential 165 vacancies for P2C, this should allow families living within 1km to get into ACS quite easily, as least for 2030 and 2031 intake. So expect properties within 1km of ACS T to be in very high demand due to potential high rental yield. Since Tengah is a new estate, there will be very few HDB rental units available due to MOP.
