you have be thorough in your analysis. It’s not so much explaining one angle with many words. It’s looking at few more angles.

You have to check out whether CCHM imposes the same minimum criteria.

I thought your argument would be if student can’t obtain max 2 bonus point for CCA, then NYJC affiliation will be helpful with 2 NYJC affiliation bonus point + 2 HCL bonus point. That is a simpler and more thorough argument that CCHM has advantage over NC.

My “lah” in my sentences is to make things sound more friendly, not to cause irritation.

The point, I am driving across is -

        All
        Those Secondary schools,

who forbid their Sec 4 HCL students to take O-level (HCL),

        Just because
students failed to score a minimum B3 in their pu-hua (O-level), at end of their Sec 3 -

are not helping O-level students at all, in their L1R5 admission !

        ==========================

bbbay And all other O-level (parents + students),

        Imagine.

        From this angle, specifically -

If it is YOUR OWN Upper Secondary (son or daughter) caught inside this kind of Secondary school situation,
        AFTER
studying HCL so hard for past 3 years since Sec 1 days,
        didn't score a minimum B3 in their pu-hua (O-level),
        & barred from sitting for gao-hua (O-level),
        how would u feel ?

These students are in tears !

Your angle may not be a concern anymore, after seeing what I share below.

Before that allow me share something in general:
I am giving you this reply, hopefully, you are willing to see comforts in them for the above angle:

There are many students studying hard and still couldn’t make it to IP schools too. Parents and students have to learn to handle them and keep trying again. Our education system offers many chances again down the road. These has been touched base many times before. for life is full of such situations. “Effort” does not always readily translate to desire results.

To provide some context and I have also shared it before: my children PSLE results qualified them for any IP schools. But we chose CCHM instead.
It mean we think there are more to life than just academics success. So to your question what if my own children can’t do well in 普华, after putting in hard works? I have answered you.

Coming back to earlier question on CCHM or NC:
I can share that, CCHM also imposes minimum 普华 score of B3 to able to take HCL at O level. So CCHM has no advantage over NC in this aspect. So your concern about how students will feel if they cannot proceed to take HCL due to poor 普华 result, it’s the same in both CCHM or NC. Neither has more leeway.

I know of an ex NC student, scoring 7 in O level. And make it to RJC due to 2 CCA and 2 HCL bonus points. So the 2 HCL bonus from any SAP schools is applicable to any JCs. So CCHM affiliation to NYJC bonus point has no advantage, unless the student is not confident of obtaining 2 cca bonus point

Best to go to each of their open house to see which fit the child better. For my child cases, after visiting both open house, they prefer CCHM, even NC is nearer to where we stay. Not only considering CCA, other factors like which environment the child feels more comfortable in and culture of both schools. There are different vibes even both are SAP schools. CCHM’s school compound has very strong Chinese culture influences. Talk to the students too, it can provide some sense of the products from the environment.
My child in Sec so not applicable but I look at CCH more positive than Nan Chiau.

              same here. +1

If I have another P6 son, I will send my son to Chung Cheng High (Main), not so much to Nan Chiau.

Curious: what is your reason seeing CCH more positive than NC?

I feel CCH is more likely to produce all rounder student than NC. Just my opinion, no stats or evidence.

                      我也是这样说!

                        中正是出了名的学校,以前读历史的时候提到它的学生曾经被共产党渗透的影响,和华中一起示威。
