For HCI Test, there is a \"Free Response and Dialogue session\". Any idea what this is about? Is there any written test?

Kids do the written free response paper first which consists of short q&a (based on ds memory) - what's the world's greatest invention, what you wanna be when you grow up, interpret walls and water.

Just curious - what do u mean some \"top\" GE students were invited to a 2 day camp. Where did u hear from ?

A few of my son's classmates who always do very well (top scores in class) in the GE class were invited to the RI camp.

It is stated in RI website that GEP kids do not take GAT if their average scores in P & P6 is above 80%

That's right. I was surpised to see the top GE boys at RI on Friday. I only found out then that they were attending the RI camp there. These are probably boys that average GE results above 90%.

a quick question here, appreciated parents advice:

If kids (mainstream) unexpectedly underperformed in PSLE, say PSLE only score 240, will they still be taken by the school (whose COP is about 260) because he/she already DSAed? :?

Once you are successful in DSA, the school will take you in so long as you meet their stated cut-off criteria in PSLE, which in most cases is an aggregate allowing you to be in Express stream.

In short, yes, even if your child scores 240, so long as he has been confirmed a place via DSA, he will be accepted.
