All About Parent Volunteers (PV)

Anyone here wrote in to PV for peihwa for 2005 kid? Am wondering when I will get a reply from them. Was told will get an email sometime in June but till now I have yet to receive anything from them so wondering if anyone here heard anything from them about your PV applications.
I'm successful PV for Pei Hwa for 2004 kid. I received my acceptance letter in Sept last yr. But the unusual thing this yr is that there is already a batch of successful PV for 2005 kid. I know this as we worked with this new batch for the recently concluded sports fair in May. So it seems that this yr they processed the applicants earlier. Not sure if they're accepting anymore PV though. One of my relatives is also quite anxious about this. -

Arrggghhh! This is nerve wrecking. Each time I call they will tell me in a couple of months. Haizzz... think will let them settle the current P1 registration then I go bug them again. The things we do for our kids. -

Northland Pri SchHi zoan,
with which school? -
Wow Northland needs 60 hours of PV work?
I ever applied PeiHwa before also, and the rejection letter came quite late (around Sep I think)… -
an update. got rejected within 2 weeks, sigh.
submit my application to my choice school two weeks before, got an email confirmation. no further update. good luck for me. -

Yes, it takes forever for Pei Hwa to reply. I think I called at least 3x before I got a reply - and it was a letter of rejection :xWow Northland needs 60 hours of PV work?

HUH? I am a parent applying for PV for 2005 kid in Pei Hwa. I called a few times and each time they replied selection results only out in September! Last call was made in April. So strange!!! *confused* so does that mean I no chance liao??? -
Hi wildboys,
Like what markfch mentioned, Pei Hwa would have chosen a batch of PVs for 2005 kids earlier…honestly we as parents will never know WHEN exactly the school shortlist/process potential PV. Each time you call, the school will tell you they have received your application letter. PERIOD.
My case is one such example. Whenever I call, I get the same reply, only to get rejected :x -

So your child's P1 registration is next year? Then your PV duty cycle should be July 2010 - June 2011. It's likely you're not successful in your PV application. Better start considering alternatives. -
BigDevil:
Don't bang on PV application...that's actually something you cannot depend on. If you're staying within 1km of Pei Hwa, you should stand a high chance of getting in.wildboys:
