小六华文会考今年起减少“死记”题
今年的考试着重测试学生的语文应用能力,减少了“死记硬背”的题型,学生的发挥空间较大。不过,这也意味,学生以往可以靠操练铁定得分的题目也相对少了。
少了选择题, 多了阅读理解题 -
语文,应该是活学活用的。
不知道是几时哪个老师/家长开始要学生”死记“。
应该打八十大板。 -

I read somewhere in a research report that rote learning is emphasized in the chinese culture in China. However the big difference is that their idea is that their rote learning is a means to higher thinking (it's easier to think when you have the knowledge at your fingertips).

Although yes, putting mandarin in context is particularly more important now that our society is getting more westernized. -

Hi, im a kid myself taking the new format 4 chinese in PSLE this year. I feel tat it is much easier than the old format. tha new format has lesser words we are suppose to know.
