Nope, nothing to do with English. It's based on humanities subjects in sec sch. I asked what criteria is needed they just told me they looking for pp with critical thinking 😅
I was wondering more about DSA Humanities for ACSI, which appeared first time in 2022 DSA exercise. Did it replace a former DSA English domain in the school?[/quote] -

And I think there was only 1 successful candidate last year.

Funny thing is- when I went to the humanities booth during open house during April 2023, they don’t seemed to know much about dsa (or that candidate). (Although they know a lot about their club)
Same could be said about the infocomm booth.
They were so passionate about what they do.
When I asked them about dsa - they also claimed only 1 candidate.
(And goes on telling me that 100s will apply to join their cca during cca week and around 20 will be accepted as cca member) -

No

That’s not my point.
I meant - they only have 1 DSA slot.
Thus (the teachers) should be choosing the Crème de la crème.
(And the student leaders won’t know how the teachers operate)
That said - everyone who then joins the cca subsequently - should be equally capable. (I guess ) -
Just received email from DHS on Chinese Dance audition.

️ but yes I went to the open house beside telling me looking for someone w critical thinking, they doesn't seems to know much..
Anyway for the most of the schs they took in v limited applicants as they are so many domains...
Also, for secondary ccas the competition is real too ..they also need to go for trials n selections many ccas took in less than 10 n if you wasn't selected by ur 1st few choices likely u r left w uniform grp to chose from... -

about 30% of HCI admissions are through DSA, which amounts to approximately 130 students.
And I think there was only 1 successful candidate last year.

These 130 individuals come from over 20+ talent areas, with mathematics and science being able to recruit several dozen, while it is normal for some less popular areas to have 1 or 2 CO only. -
