“We are in the process of verifying online applications. The next update will be by 6pm on Wednesday, 19 July 2023” (…ahead of the SMS results on 21 July 2023).
As per last years, number of applicants isn’t updated on the last day of the application phase. Also, no “live” breakdown is given. I do think there should be a number more schools “qualifying” for balloting which aren’t reflected in the last update.
I suspect this year they will at least provide the distance breakdown in their 19 July update, so that applicants know whether they are in the running for the ballot or not. -
Yeah, they will… but I’m not sure how useful the info will be to current users especially for Phase 2A applicants. The school you have a choice for is fixed. It’s just whether you want to bid for it or not.

Well, as floppy noted, it's driven mainly by MK and alumni. Lots of kindy kids in affiliated kindergarten. Now we are seeing the results of the MOE experiment started years ago.

No. It’s all automated via computer ballot.

MK priority is < 500m, 500m to 1km and > 1km. Majority, if not all, of the students will be < 1km. Plus each cohort probably can contribute between 40 to 80 students, the outcome is not that surprising. Pity the alumni of Gongshang, Naval Base and PE. -

How come final day of 2A shows one number but todays update shows another number? I thought after cut off date, the dateline should be honoured and no late entries?
