I rather think that schools will decide whether or not to issue an additional WL based on your responses.

For example, if you perform very well in an interview with School A, and are also shortlisted by School B, then School A may consider offering you a CO while also issuing a WL to someone else, in case you ultimately choose School B.

This is possible too. I think different school may have different strategy in their DSA selection process.
1 School which my child was shortlisted for interview and given us a verbal CO have requested us to contact them if we decided \"not\" to put their school as first choice.

My child's schoolmates have been given CO by NCHS in sports domain DSA last week and beside their talent area achievements, all the CO are given to those with past grades AL10 or better.

FWIW, NCHS only offers 3 sports talent area:
- basketball
- table tennis
- wushu

Unfortunately, NCHS isn’t well placed in any of them. Hence, the school strategy probably isn’t that much into procuring real talent in the talent area but rather to chope students before they choose other schools.

No wonder, NCHS is super fast in giving the CO, it is almost within a couple of days after the 2nd interview. The P & VP are the ones conducting the 2nd interview, which is quite different from the other DSA school.

There has been no update from SCGS dance after 1st audtion (20 JULY)

Have read from past threads that some schools will call up parent to verbally offer CO before proceeding with the actual procedure. My girl's preferred choice normally will give out CO later then her 2nd choice school. (Sep vs Aug). In this case, if the 2nd choice school called up to check if we will accept their offer when we do not know of our preferred choice result, how/what should be the reply be? Its just a what if kinda question.

Usually it is the TOP IP Schools that offer many DSA Seats and DOmains…. Fairfield i also noticed a few domains only

Logic is simple. Cap for DSA is 20% of cohort. Even if the neighborhood school offers every single talent area that the MOE allows, can she gets enough applicants to fulfill 20%, even if she choose not to have any interviews or trials? So there’s really no point in offering many, if the demand isn’t there.

As for Fairfield, do note for every DSA seat being offered, there may be one less seat for the affiliated primary school student, since the school cohort is finite. If you are the school, you probably want to moderate and achieve in some sort of balance.

Hi, I have applied DSA-Drama at TJC for my daughter. She went for an interview but hasn’t receive any outcome yet. Some of her friends went for other DSA at TJC and got their offer letters. Did anyone receive DSA-Drama outcome from TJC.

Thanks, guess we wait. If there are any interviews scheduled, hopefully they are aware not to schedule next week during the PSLE Orals! 😓😅
