Not all schools practised issuing verbal COs. And even if the school does, is only for certain domain, not for all domain across the board.

In our case, I know the sch n sport we are waiting for, has already issued verbal CO to some so was wondering if this means we are not in that CO list or there is still a chance that some of us might only know from the final email. Haha of course notwithstanding that some will reject verbal offer n then the 'back ups' are eventually offered but just wondering if this sch and domain is doing verbal offers, if they will do it for all on their list or possible that just some.

it all depends on the individual Sports coach. Is not compulsory that all different Sports category in the same school, must give verbal CO.

But if let's say,
within that same domain where some students confirmed already received verbal CO for say, netball, and your child also applied for netball (the same talent domain) but until now still have not received any verbal CO,
then,
your child can approach that Sports coach directly and ask coach, if got any chance ?

I’m not sure what to make of the practice where sports coaches reach out indirectly via a 3rd party to the parent to apply pressure tactics, saying “You were successful for the school’s interview but if I include your child’s name on my list will you definitely come to the school? You need to give me an answer now or I will not include the name. Because if you get an offer and you don’t come, it will affect the school team for that year.” How can they expect a decision when we haven’t received all the offers? Is this even allowed?
