I be very careful about this approach. In the sporting world, everyone knows everyone so if you lie to the coach, words can get around very quickly. 诚信 is impt too.
I have heard of parents who have verbally accepted all offers, and some people have told me to do that as well. However, in this case, I was also given a word of caution by the current coach to not say \"Yes\" and eventually not accept the CO because not only will it affect the reputation of the primary school (and parent & child), it will also ruin the chances of the students in future batches from the school. The coach proceeded to cite an example of how XXX sec school no longer offers COs to our students because in the past Y years, all COs offered to our students have not materialised.

I agree that the sporting world is small and connected, and it would be wise to tread carefully. But I guess it also depends on the sport. Unfortunately, this practice has turned what should be a happy episode for us into an unpleasant one.

i agree with you... that is also what i have heard.
And to be be honest, if there is really a high chance of not accepting, the teachers mentioned that it will be good to let them know earlier so that they can offer to another kid who is waiting for an offer.
I hope everyone will do that although i know it is a difficult position.
        my 2 cents worth.

What we can do probably is to ask the coach directly of the school you are really interested to get in about your chances before making that yes or no commitment. Sometimes you be surprised to know whether who calls the shots in the dsa process ie Sch or coach and consider carefully your chances before replying. Ask around your potential competitors too like which Sch they wanna go. I bet this might help a bit?

                    Hi all,

                    Based on last year's dates:
                    \"DSA 2022 Results Dates

                    4 August
                    - NUS High School of Mathematics and Science (NUSH)
                    - Maris Stella High School

                    5 August
                    - Anglican High School

                    12 August
                    - Nan Chiau High School
                    - Chung Cheng High School Yishun (CCHY)

                    13 August
                    - Xinmin Secondary School

                    16 August
                    - CHIJ Secondary (Toa Payoh)..
                    .\"

Can I presume that these schools have released their 2023 DSA results (CO and WL) to the selected students?

                    Your thoughts are appreciated. :thankyou:

Outside of schools that are confirmed to have released 2023 results (NUSH, etc), I think it is kind of hard to say. Some of the schools on the full list that someone reposted have moved around a week or so +/- depending on the year. I think usually if the emailed/mailed results are out to the COs/WLs, the others will have been notified too.
