Me Time!

The CNA article also did not say whether we can eat or should avoid eating sushi/sashimi for the time being.
I’m scared but my hub said it is ok to eat sushi/sashimi.
Reasons why my hub feels ok to eat:
1). The Jap kept the radioactive water for 12yrs, so most of the short lived radioactive substances have already decayed (way past their half lives).
2). Jap have multi-stage process to filter the radioactive water to within “safety limit”.
3). IAEA has conducted a few rounds of reviews with the Jap and is satisfied that the water to be discharged is within safety limits
4). Last but not least, there’s lots of water in the Pacific Ocean, by discharging the filtered water into the big ocean, it will be substantially diluted.
If based on scientific findings, maybe not so scared. But if based on inherent fears because we eat a lot of seafood from Pacific Ocean, then the thought of it can be like quite scary. Although the farmed salmon we eat is mostly from Norway, we do consume a lot of seafood from Pacific Ocean. A lot of Don Don Donki foodstuff use water from Jap to manufacture and of cos, Jap rice! And also, those dried scallops sold at Hock Hua that we loved to put in Chinese soup, they are either from Jap or China seas.
For that matter, Chinese seas is not exactly clean. Their factories also anyhow throw untreated industrial waste/water into the drains/sea.
SFA, pls don’t disappoint us ok?!?! We will eat sushi/sashimi if you allow them to be imported into SG! 😂 -
Life is a journey of a series of processes and events.
Upon completion of each process/event, I feel rewarding and satisfying. -

Can one avoid sushi/sashimi over these 30 years, don’t step in Japanese restaurants plus don’t visit Japan for holidays during this period? :pokeeye:

Maybe I will send my wife to a sashimi lunch. If she glows in the dark next to me at night, I'll refrain

Sorry, I should retract my statement. I am actually thinking about this too…
